So four months ago, I went back to college after four months off to continue on with my Bachelor track. But during that time, I got promoted at work and took on more responsibility. After this that meant a lot more time, then I had originally planned to dedicate for homework, was being used up. In turn, my schoolwork has become overwhelming because there’s not enough time in the day unless I want to cut myself down to two hours of sleep a week. This is totally unrealistic and will lead to me doing one of the following:
- Becoming major ill due to a severely weakened immune system.
- Becoming burnt out and unable to perform well in any area of my life.
- Spinning wildly out of control mentally and ending up somewhere I don’t want to be.
Do to these reasons, I’m going to be going into my school and discussing the possibility of switching from in-class courses to online courses as that will help free up time. From past experiences, the online courses take up far less time if you manage them properly. Sure there’s no professor that you can physically meet up with, but I rarely have questions or concerns anyways. But this is a major change to how I go forward with my Bachelor degree. Hopefully my school will allow me to do this route, or I’m going to have to drop to being a part time student. Which would mean I do longer qualify for financial aid and I won’t be able to offer to go to school any longer. The other alternative is finding a new school with a similar online program that is accredited, which is not really something I want to do. But it’s the final solution if my school is unable to allow me to change how I go about this program.
School is very important to me and I’ve always wanted my Bachelor’s degree. But two full time jobs that are 120+ hours a week, is something I cannot handle. Others might be able to but I cannot.
So here’s hoping I can work something out with my university.
