5 Tips on Handling a Difficult Situation and Anxiety

5 Tips on Handling a Difficult Situation and Anxiety

Right now I'm going through a really frustrating and difficult situation that I cannot talk to anyone about for legal reasons. Someday I'll maybe be able to say something about it and when it does I'll probably do a story time or something like that. And it's giving me a lot of anxiety, so I thought it would be a good idea since I can't talk about that to share some tips on dealing with a difficult situation and anxiety in general. Whatever the case may be.

Photo Diary: Depotting Makeup

Photo Diary: Depotting Makeup

Over the weekend, I had the brilliant idea that I was going to depot all of my NYX Hot Single Eyeshadows and Prismatic Eyeshadows then put them all into a Z Palette that I got at Sephora. I watched about five different videos and explanations on how to best complete this task so I would 1. not destroy the shadows, and 2. not destroy my hands in the process. Let's say those two things didn't really happen. I managed to break two of my shadows though I was able to repair them using some alcohol from the pharmacy, and my hands are cut up all over the place. I also used the Z Palette to house some of the samples that I have gotten over the years from various subscription boxes that were getting lost due to being a tiny pan with only a small plastic casing. Some of these I don't remember what they were so I couldn't label them.

NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Review & Swatches

NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Review & Swatches

NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter came out at the beginning of this year, but I was very on the fence about getting these. As I wasn't wearing highlighter or makeup in general at the beginning of the year on a regular basis. But recently I've fallen back in love with putting makeup on all the time and trying new things. So much so that starting June I'm going to be doing a 100 Days of Makeup on my Instagram account. And I really wanted to give these a try!

CLEAN Rollerball Layering Collection Review & 1500 Subscriber Giveaway

CLEAN Rollerball Layering Collection Review & 1500 Subscriber Giveaway

CLEAN is a perfume brand I heard about from Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella) in one of her monthly favorites. And put on my wishlists for a later date. Then I saw Ulta started carrying this brand the other day and had to try it. Especially as I saw they had all of these samples of each scent so you can figure out which scent is your favorite before you get the full size. There is one scent that CLEAN has on their website that isn't available on Ulta that I wanted to try, but I'm super excited all the others are included in this collection.

Best Swimming Workout for Your New Summer Body

Best Swimming Workout for Your New Summer Body

Swimming pools aren’t exactly associated with losing weight and getting into shape. Most people think about swimming as a fun and casual physical activity which can’t replace a regular gym workout. However, this isn’t exactly true; swimming can make you as fit as any other workout if you do it on a regular basis. It strengthens all muscles and it’s easier on the joints than land-based exercises of a similar intensity are. There is also evidence that swimming boosts the metabolism and helps with mental health as well.

Summer Friday | Ipsy Glambag May 2017 Unbagging

Summer Friday | Ipsy Glambag May 2017 Unbagging

This month's Ipsy Glambag is a clear bag with ice cream and Popsicle pattern on it. I also love that this is water resistant, which makes this a nice little bag that you can bring with you to the beach or pool side. I'm happy to announce that all the products in this month's glambag are cruelty free! Which I'm beyond happy about as I haven't had that in a few months now. Granted a few of those brands have since changed their policies, so sort of a win though at the time they weren't.

Beauty Trends I'll Never Do

Beauty Trends I'll Never Do

I got this idea from Mandy from A Girl, Obsessed who shared the trends she does not do and Rebecca who did an anti-haul on From Roses. And I love those ideas. You normally don't see people commenting on things they don't enjoy doing or don't see the point of when it comes to trends. Or at least, I never see anyone commenting or posting about that sort of thing. So when I saw two of my favorite bloggers share their thoughts on this topic, I wanted to share my own as well. As I love it!

Photo Diary: Birthday Parties of Years Past

Photo Diary: Birthday Parties of Years Past

Though my mom wasn't the greatest of taking individual pictures of me growing up as my sister literally refused to leave my side, the one thing she always made sure of was that she took photos every year on my birthday. Or around my birthday rather when I had my hair freshly cut/styled and in an outfit that summed up my year. Either a favorite outfit I loved wearing or something new, and I got a say in what I wanted my birthday picture outfit to be. Some of them were taken at my birthday party and others were just around the house. She did this every year until I turned 18 and she still has the photos hanging up in her bedroom next to my sister's. So seeing as today is my 24th birthday, I thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane.

Discovering Books & Getting Back Into Reading

Discovering Books & Getting Back Into Reading

One thing I have been really wanting to do for a while is get back into reading. I used to use around one to two books a week, and now I'm lucky if I manage to read one every other month. And the main reason I just haven't been reading besides not having as much time, is I just don't know what to read. Normally I like to have a small stack of books on the ready to read, but lately I've been struggling to just find one I want to read. But I've been trying new things, and some of them have been really helping me with this task so I wanted to share them with you.

The 30 Question Disney Tag

The 30 Question Disney Tag

I am not the originator of this tag, and I'm not actually sure who is the creator of it. I saw this tag from The Kelly Diane Report and really wanted to do it myself. I absolutely love Disney, in high school before classes began I would even listen to Disney music so I would be in a happy mood. And I've seen almost every Disney movie ever made.

L.A. Girl PRO Coverage HD Long Wear Illuminating Foundation Review & Swatches

L.A. Girl is a brand I haven't tried a lot of products from before as they don't sell these in any stores near where I live. But I heard of this foundation through LustreLux about 4 months ago, and was debating on trying it as it's only $10. Then I saw Tati review some of their eyeshadows and I decided to order both of these together. And have been trying the foundation since then.

24 Facts About Me

As I'm turning 24 in less than a week, I wanted to share with you 24 things you might not know about me. I've done one of these last year around my birthday time as well so I think this might be a yearly tradition for my birthday. And I've double-checked everything to make sure I didn't repeat anything.

Picking Random Makeup Colors AND Making Them Work Challenge #4

Picking Random Makeup Colors AND Making Them Work Challenge #4

This has to be one of my favorite challenges... considering I've done it three times before already. It's just so simple and forces you outside of your makeup comfort zone. I generally wear the same makeup every day with a few slight variations. So this challenge really makes me experiment. I chose five eyeshadows at random then added one more for a transition, and chose a random liquid lipstick from my collection. The color combination that I got really had me stumped on what to even create. And as I created the look I was very unsure of it until I reached the end, then somehow it just seemed interesting in a way I was expecting that made me like it. Now would I wear this as an everyday look? No. But maybe if I was going out I would attempt to recreate this or something similar.

Battle of the Mascaras

Battle of the Mascaras

Since switching to be completely cruelty-free with my makeup, the one thing I've struggled the most with was mascara. As I LOVED Benefit Roller Lash mascara and didn't want to give it up. I ended up giving away my full size mascara to my sister and keeping a sample size around while I tried to find something else that I enjoyed just as much. So I've been trying a lot of new mascaras trying to find something just right.

Let's Talk About… Ethics

Let's Talk About… Ethics

So for today's post, I've been going back and forth on what I wanted to write about. I've been trying to keep everything very balanced between lifestyle and beauty. And since yesterday, I wrote about beauty that meant today would be lifestyle. But I didn't really have anything I felt motivated to write about, as the only thing that would come to my mind was about everything that's been happening in the news. There have been so many cases, stories, events… whatever you want to call it in the news about issues with policies/ethics. Now I'm not going to get into each story other than I'm referring to mainly the airline companies.

Physician Formula Butter Bronzer Review & Swatch

Physician Formula Butter Bronzer Review & Swatch

I have seen a lot of positive comments around the internet either on other blogs or on YouTube that the Physician Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer was amazing. So I thought after many months of hearing this that I would try it out now that I'm in a bronzer mood for this Spring/Summer as last summer I sure as hell wasn't. Plus I haven't tried anything from Physician Formula even though they are available in the drug store and are cruelty free. This bronzer is available for $15 so it's not the cheapest item in the world, but if I could use it as a replacement for my Benefit Hoola Bronzer (which is not cruelty free) then I was going to give it a go. As I needed a replacement.

Lose Weight and Have Fun Exercising

Lose Weight and Have Fun Exercising

Holidays are so much fun, as well as parties, movies, and hanging out on a beach. But sweating in the gym, doing pushups, and squats? Not really, if you ask us. Not only is working out difficult, but it’s also repetitive and terribly boring, and people have a hard time finding motivation to hit the gym and really hope that some of their fun activities could double as workout. Luckily, there is more to exercise than exhausting workouts and protein drinks, and if you choose to try some of these fun and exciting activities out, you will fall in love with them and lose weight quickly.
