I hope you are having a fantastic day. I know I am as I just went out on a little nature walk with my dog, Pixie Bug. I decided to take a trip down memory lane and go down some of the old trails I used to go on every week when I was in Junior High and High School before I moved to the other side of the city where there isn’t a park reserve. And though it is the middle of October, it felt like it was August as it was super warm and sunny. Which made the walk ten times more enjoyable. Maple Grove, MN is part of the Three Rivers Park District and has over 55 miles of trails that pass through the woods and around the many lakes in the city. So though Maple Grove is rather large it doesn’t feel like your always in a big city.
Since Pixie loves to go for walks I decided to walk from Teal Lake (my old neighborhood) to Medicine Lake Regional Trail and into the Elm Creek Park Reserve. With the leaves changing it was an absolutely gorgeous day. Where are some of your places to go when you just want to get away from it all?
