Merry Christmas everyone! And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, then I hope you have a fantastic Friday. Today we’re seeing Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens with my extended family. Which avoiding spoilers for in an office full of Star Wars fans has been like pulling teeth and nails. But luckily the guys aren’t saying anything where I can hear anything.
But since Christmas is a day of relaxing and playing games with the family. Here are the highlights of my Christmas Eve:
Passion Church Christmas Performance
Last night our Church did it’s yearly Christmas production, which I was nervous that I would miss the entire thing as I had to work on the 24th until my shift ended at 5:00 PM. And I did make it to the production as we got to leave early. It was absolutely amazing. I loved the message and the performance. The Greatest Gift you can give someone or receive is the gift of Jesus Christ. To sum up the message here were the main five points:
- Man has nothing to do with God’s promise.
- Great things are often born outside the system.
- Not everyone who follows you is for you.
- Keep your gifts hidden while they grow
- Always lose what you have in worship.
Traditional Christmas Eve Dinner
Afterwards, we had our Christmas Eve dinner which consisted of Red Lobster’s artichoke crab dip, crab cakes and fish. This is my favorite Christmas Eve dinner. And I love that this is our Christmas Eve tradition.
We were going to wait until Christmas day to open these but with seeing the movie and going over to my relatives afterwards we decided it was best to do that on Christmas Eve. It was an absolute blast. We finished up the 12 days of Christmas for my mom. If you are curious about what we got her, here’s a link to the post that was updated with all twelve days. Presents are not everything for me, but I do love everything that I received and I’m going to put it all to good use. Especially the suitcase as I’m possibly going on a cruise or to California in March with a friend from college.
How did you spend your Christmas Eve and/or Christmas? Today also marks the end of blogmas, but I’m going to keep up the daily blog posts. But it might not be exactly everyday.
