NuMe Silhouette Straightener

For Christmas, I had been shopping around for a new straightener for my sister as well as new curling wand for myself. I haven’t had straight hair in ages, but learned how to curl my hair with a straightener. With my shorter hair now, I felt like this would be a lot simpler and less items that I would need to have. So when I heard in Ingrid Nilsen’s November Favorites about this straightener, I was like “I need to get that for both of us.” So I went to NuMe’s website and took a look at the ceramic straightener. Ingrid had an amazing deal with made the straighteners only $27. Not sure if that’s still available, but NuMe also has many deals on their Instagram account. But the normal retail value is $139, and comes in three colors: pink, turquoise, and black. I got myself the turquoise and my sister the black model. If you want to check it out, you can right HERE.

I absolutely love the results I get from the straightener when I’m curling my hair, it honestly does a lot better job then my curling wand ever did. Not that it was high quality or anything, it was just one I got at Walmart for twenty dollars. So this is my first higher grade straightener. But the curls lasts for hours without going flat like I often find if I’m turning my beach waves into dramatic curls. So I’m genuinely impressed. Especially as it takes me about ten minutes to do all my hair and I don’t have to go over them more than once.

The NuMe Silhouette straightener heats up fairly quickly and has a little light to express when it is ready on it’s round 1.25 inch plates. And can go up to 450 F but I typically leave it at the 290 F mark. I have not tried it on the highest settings as frankly I don’t need to go that high, but I also don’t want to turn into one of those girls who fry off their hair. So I’m not turning the dial up to that either.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this product and I have had no issues with. I know several other blogs claimed it was pulling their hair when they used it. Don’t know what they did differently or why that would be. But I know personally I have not had that issue. I would recommend getting the NuMe Silhouette Straightener. If you’re living on a very strict budget like me, keep an eye out for coupons and deals so you can afford it and don’t have to go through sticker shock.
