In January I decided to cut down on the number of monthly subscriptions I had. And one of them I ended up just replacing with Ipsy. Which is a new subscription for me. So this is my first Glam Bag. And I loved the concept when I saw it because it was something different than the boxes. Plus I can reuse the bags as travel makeup bags in my purse. Which is something I needed because right now everything is loose and very hard to find. So I'm going to use this bag to place those items inside.
Since it's Valentine's month, they went into the pink theme. As many do in this time of month. And the bag is designed as a cute envelope with a red heart in an 8-bit format which just screams to my nerdy side.
The one thing I have to say I wish they had was an info card about the products mainly just so I didn't have to look up how much everything costs if I wanted to purchase it for myself. But that's not a deal breaker for me, I just think it would be nice is all. They do have a card with in stating what the name of the month's theme is but the back side is just share on social media for chance at a years worth of Glam Bags.
Anyways, enough about the info card I wish it had and onto the main event. The Products!
This lip gloss is a champagne pink with shimmer. It is a soft color so it can go with a lot of different looks. The full size of this is $21.
All ingredients are naturally derived occurring to the company as well as dermatologist tested for sensitive skin. Which is something I love because my skin can get weird about different things. Plus the combination of Moroccan Argan and Olive Oils makes me think it's really going to be great for moisturizing and replenishing the skin. Especially as winter is still in full swing. The full size is 1.7 oz and costs $15.
I love my primer from Smashbox to the moon and back so when I saw the primer oil I was excited to say the least. According to Smashbox it is a face oil infused with 15 essential and lipid-rich plant oils. So I'm expecting my face to be well mositurized and have a dewy look in the end. The full size bottle (1.0 Oz) of Primer Oil is $42.
I do not own any eye liner that is not black so I was curious which I saw this eye liner as I've wanted to try some that were outside the box. Jac is a bronze shade. These appear to have a satin texture to them which is a nice finish and fits in with the current season.
This is a flat definer brush in a beautiful pink color with rose gold finishing. Perfect for brows or smoke out the bottom last line. The brush is cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, and coated with antibacterial solution and costs $12.
Again I wish there was an information card with the Glam Bag so I didn't have to look up how much everything cost. But other than that I was really impressed with Ipsy and will continue to get these in the future. Every month this does cost $10 with free shipping. So I am definitely looking forward to March's bag.
