Oscars 2016: Red Carpet Fashion
This week I'm moving Fashion Friday up to Tuesday as the Oscars just happened on Sunday night. So we'll just call it Trendy Tuesday for the week though it's still Fashion Friday. The Oscars have to be my favorite award show for red carpet fashion as everyone is in the most stunning gowns and tuxedos. The most memorable looks that I saw while watching the red carpet were: Jennifer Lawrence, Chrissy Tegien, and Priyanka Chopra.
She looks stunning in this nude and black layered dress by Dior.
This red dress with spaghetti straps and a plunging necklace is by Dior.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy looked amazing in this red floral and nude illusion grown by Machesa.
Hannah Bagshawe and Eddie Redmayne
Hannah looks stunning in this black sleeveless number with embroidered, jeweled neckline alongside her husband.
This white and floral pattern dress with off-the-shoulder necklace doesn't overly wow me in any way compared to the other dresses of the evening.
I love the color and jewel accents in this dress from Marchesa and Lorraine Schwartz dress.
This has to be my favorite look of the night. It's a sheer, naked dress with flower accents that's totally on trend this award show season just looks amazing on her especially with the metallic belt that keep it red carpet look rather than bridal. Unfortunately I have yet to see who is the designer of the dress. But it is still my favorite of the Oscars Red Carpet 2016.
Lilac and white sheer tulle dress by Versace. I'm not the biggest fan of this dress but Heidi does manage to pull it off somehow. But for me I'm still saying it was the worst dress I saw of the evening. It's just too much floral and tulle.
This bold gold scale dress is by Tom Ford.
I wasn't sure what I thought of this dress at first but it's kind of growing on me with the flower/leaf details with that almost Tiffany blue color. Which is perfect considering that she is wearing jewels from Tiffany & Co. The dress is from Armani.
Gorgeous black shoulder strap dress by Versace.
She looks absolutely amazing in this Valentino dress. Almost like a Greek goddess.
This is a very bold metallic dress in purple and dark blue by Armani Prive that the Divergent star pulls off effortlessly.
Another metallic dress this time in emerald that just draws your eyes in by Calvin Klein.
Jared is one of my favorite looks for the guys this evening in a black tuxedo with red accents from Gucci. Mainly because it's not the standard black and white tuxedo that every guy practically wears on the red carpet.
I may have missed a few as I wrote this while watching the Oscars.
But what were some of your favorite looks at the Oscars this year? Who do you think rocked the red carpet and who failed?
