Ready for Anything Birchbox

Intro Card from Birchbox

You never know where your day (or night) might take you. Maybe it’s an unexpected lunch meeting with your boss’s boss, or an impromptu date with a friend you haven’t seen in ages, or a last-minute salsa dancing class (why not?). No matter what, spontaneous women need to be ready for anything that comes their way.

That’s why we created this indispensable Ready for Anything Featured Box - perfect for pulling together a look in no time flat. It comes with a bold lipstick and eyeshadow trio for a quick pop of color and contour, while the face cream and eye pads give you a luminous glow on the go. So now, when something pops up last minute, you’ll say to yourself, ‘I got this.’

March Products Birchbox

This month's Birchbox is filled with a lot of products I'm curious about. I'm looking forward to the eye pads and facial cream in particular. But the other three items also look very interesting. I enjoyed the curl cream I got previously from Parlor so I'm looking forward to trying the blowout spray. I've never tried Milk lipstick but the color looks beautiful.

Products of March's Featured Birchbox: Ready for Anything

Wilma Schumann Hydrating Collagen Eye Pads

These pads are meant to plump, hydrate and restore while enhancing eye contour gently and naturally. The full-size is $18 which includes 5 pairs of eye pads. Instructions from Birchbox on how to use: "After cleansing, open foil pack and immediately apply one pad beneath each eye. Apply evenly to ensure a good contact with the skin. Leave on for 20 minutes then peel and dispose."

Milk Studios Lip Color in C.R.E.A.M.

This is a muave-nude lip color that has a demi-matte finish. It is supposed to last all day. The full size is 0.1 oz and costs $22. According to Sephora: "This bold Lip Color bathes lips in hydration for comfortable all day wear. Shea butter, coconut oils, and grapefruit peel oils soften lips and boost moisture. Meanwhile, Milk Melt Technology matches body temperature for instant glide and a second skin feel. A pigment level of 30 percent ensures one-swipe coverage and super intense color payoff with no base required. The tube’s long, lean shape and custom tip allow for easy application for a perfect bold, matte lip look that lasts from desk to dawn."

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

Since I have not tried it yet as I'm writing this blog post while unboxing the feature box, I will just be sharing what I found on Birchbox about the product.

This is the hardworking follow-up to Kiehl's beloved Ultra Facial Moisturizer; it's a bit thicker and comes in a convenient pot (great for using up every last drop). Whether you have chronically dry skin, or you're still getting over the winter woes, this is the ultimate soother. It's rich without being greasy, and sinks in without any residue.

Start with a clean face and smooth all over, avoiding eyes. Because it's a bit heavier, use a little and concentrate on the areas that need the most attention — cheeks tend to start flaking before the T-zone.

Full size is $26.50 and is 1.7 oz.

Parlor by Jeff Chastain Smoothing Blowout Spray

Since I have not tried it yet as I'm writing this blog post while unboxing the feature box, I will just be sharing what I found on Birchbox about the product.

Much like wedding speeches and the sum total of one’s 401k, a great blowout shouldn’t be left to chance. This Smoothing Blowout Spray ensures a beautiful result every time. The lightweight spritz adds instant volume and luster while protecting hair from heat damage. Nourishing ingredients keep locks shiny and healthy looking for the long haul. Bonus: This blowout spray has a fresh, addictive scent (think: notes of ripe peach, cut grass, and white woods). All products from the line are safe for color-treated hair and are free of sulfates, parabens, and gluten.

Spray four to six times onto damp hair before blow-drying. For light- to medium-density hair, focus on the mid-shaft to ends; for really thick hair, spray throughout.

Full is is 4.9 oz and costs $24.

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Filter

The light color that's supposed to be for highlight, doesn't show up the greatest on my skin tone. While the shade and contour color do show up nicely. The names of each shade are: vanilla (matte warm ivory), sable (matte soft brown), sumatra (matte deep brown). Looking at the full size version is slightly bigger based off comparing packaging online, which would make it easier to get the product out. The full size price is $28.
