Loves and Loathes of March 2016

It's that time of month where we look back at all the things we've been going head over heels for as well as getting rid of items that we disliked. This month I didn't have as many beauty favorites as I have in past month but I do have a lot of other things I've been in love with.

For starters, the biggest thing I've been loving this month and I honestly haven't been able to do this all month is wearing contacts. It's the little things that come with it. I feel more awake with contacts, actually want to do my makeup again as before I just felt like it was hidden, and my over the headphones actually fill comfortable again instead of pinching into the sides of my face or on the bridge of my nose. And because I'm wearing contacts again that means my corneal ulcer that I've had since the beginning of February is finally gone!

Ori and the Blind Forest

As this month I revived my gaming channel on YouTube though my old videos are not available as I had fully removed them when I had originally closed the account and started a Twitch channel, I've been making a lot of wishlists on games I wanted to get and played a few new ones that I just love. The two that I enjoyed playing or loved playing during the course of March were: Firewatch and Ori and the Blind Forest.

TV Shows

Because binge watching shows on Netflix is very real and I do it far to often. The shows that entered my binge watching this month were Fuller House and The 100. In case you don't know what either of them is. Fuller House is the reboot series Netflix did of Full House, one of my favorite sitcoms growing up. It features DJ, Stephanie and Kimmy rising DJ's kids after their father past away. While The 100 is about a group of juveniles sent to Earth to see if it was habitable again and the war they faced dealing with the humans already living there that saw their arrival as an invasion as well as people who live in the mountains as a means to cure themselves of radiation poisoning.

There have been five on almost non-stop repeat this month that I've added onto my current favorite playlist that I listen to at work. Lost Boy by Ruth B which has Peter Pan inspired lyrics, One Call Away by Charlie Puth, Unsteady by X Ambassadors, Irresistible by Fall Out Boy featuring Demi Lovato, and Rise Up by Andra Day.

There were two things that I really did not like this month. Those being Smashbox Photofinish Primer Oil as it made my face feel way too dewy and oily. I was hoping it would look somewhat dewy but the amount just looked like my face was covered in grease. Not exactly a look I want. And the other being Etre Belle Golden Skin Roll-on Caviar Eye Gel. It's supposed to make your eyes have moisture and revitalized. Mine ended up looking like someone sucked out all the moisture and felt horrible. So those are two products I will not be using again.

What were some of your favorite things of the month? Or things you will avoid in the future?
