Beauty Favorites of April 2016

This month has flown by, which is odd because a lot has happened this month for me. If you want to read all about it, I did a Life Lately blog post about it just a few days ago. Which does not include the fact that while you are reading this, I am moving into my new townhouse with my best friends Kiki and Ariel. I don't have much music or television shows or other lifestyle items that made the list for loves. And didn't really have anything that was a loathe either, so we're just going with beauty favorites this month.

As usual I filmed this on my YouTube channel, all makeup worn in that video is from this monthly favorites. This is also the last video I will be doing in my room at my mom's townhouse, future videos will be at my new townhouse which I'm super excited about.

Highlighters became my obsession in the month of April. My favorite being Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin and Aura, and NYX Wonder Stick in light/medium. I used to put very minimal to no highlighter on, now I put it on almost daily. I will have blog posts in the beginning part of May about the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette so look out for that. A few days ago I posted the review for the, Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter if you wanted a more in depth look at that.

Other beauty products I have been head over heels for are the foundations: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea water foundation in fair neutral and NYX HD Studio Foundation in Nude. These are the lightest shades in each of these collections. But they are both very lightweight and are fairly easy to blend into my skin while keeping all the coverage. For palettes, I was all over the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette that includes 6 eyeshadows, a highlighter, a bronzer, and a blush. I will also be having a post on this in the future. For my lips I've been all over Buxom wildly whipped soft matte lip color in Centerfold. I got this in Ipsy Dreamer Glambag and would love to get more of this collection as they are so comfortable to wear. For blush, it's the Laura Gellar Baked blush-n-brighten in pink grapefruit that I got in my Birchbox this month. Just like the Buxom, I would love to get more of the blushes in this collection as this is a gorgeous shade that looks really good on my very pale skin. I have not bought anything in many months for my eyebrows, but this month I got Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon in soft brown, which is a quick application especially for on days where I'm running late and it lasts all day. The last item, I've been loving this month is Benefit Roller Lash super curling and lifting mascara.
