Origins Clear Improvement and Drink Up Intensive Review
In my quest to create a skin regime, I got myself Origins Clear Improvement active charcoal mask and Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask from Birchbox. I got the charcoal mask as I heard it was great to help get rid of blackheads. And the overnight mask to help hydrate skin, which comes in particularly handy in Minnesota in the Spring as it's warm one minute then snowing the next. I got both tubes 3.4 fl. oz. for $25.
How to Use
Use once a week or as often as needed. Open pores with warm, moist towel and layer on. Allow to dry then rinse off. To help it spread better, rub it in your hands as the heat will help the clay spread out evenly across your face. As well as get the most out of the face mask. The texture is both thick and glossy.
Water\aqua\eau, myrtle leaf water, kaolin, bentonite, butylene glycol, montmorillonite, polysorbate 20, peg-100 stearate, charcoal powder, xanthum gum, lecithin, peg-150 distearate, propylene glycol stearate, sorbitan laurate, glycerin, propylene glycol laurate, simethicone, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, hexylene glycol, trisodium edta, dehydroacetic acid, and phenoxyethanol.
The face mask was very easy to apply, very good quality and very nice simplest design. I did feel my pores tightening and left my skin feeling very smooth and soft. After the first application, I didn't see everything come out of my pores but I did find them less visible. As far as smell it was clean and earthy, which was nice compared to others that have weird chemical or perfume smell. I will most likely end up purchasing this face mask again in the future. And think it's worth purchasing at least for a try if you are curious about the product.
How to Use
Origins recommends that you use this product twice a week. Or as desired depending on how dry your skin is. Since it is quite heavy, they recommend applying the mask before bed by gently massaging it into clean skin, and then wiping off the excess gently.

I do enjoy that the formula is creamy and rich. Immediately I did smell a citrus scent when I opened the tube. It does smell very refreshing but not overpowering. One thing that I do have to note is I normally use citrus aromatherapy lotion in the morning to help me wake up, so it is sending my brain into a little bit of confusion. But that's a bit of a personal problem. Though the moisturizer mask is super rich and slightly heavy feeling, it spreads quickly and evenly over the skin. It leaves a light-to-medium layer of coverage that gives the skin a slightly shiny look. The next morning I could definitely still feel the moisture that made my skin feel smooth and hydrated. Plus it doesn't take much to cover your face and your neck. About a quarter size amount is all you need. If I ever run out of product, I will be getting this again as I have enjoyed it.
