Since I’ve moved I can finally get access to my makeup again as I packed it probably way sooner than I should’ve. Though it’s summer I was in the mood for more grungy makeup typically seen in fall. And since I have a series going of three look one palette, I thought I would revisit one of my favorites, Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette. I’ve used this palette several times in the past for posts but I haven’t done one of these kinds of posts for it. So that’s exactly what we’re doing today.
Shade descriptions of the Subculture Palette for reference so if you wanted to create a similar look but wanted to use another palette, you can get something similar since I’ll just be referring to the shades by name when going over how I created the looks:
- Cube (Duo chrome pink pearl)
- Dawn (Ultra-matte sand)
- Destiny (Ultra-matte sage green)
- Adorn (Metallic bronze)
- All Star (Ultra-matte vintage wine)
- Mercury (Ultra-matte slate grey)
- Axis (Ultra-matte blue-green)
- Rowdy (Ultra-matte blackened purple)
- Edge (Ultra-matte gold mustard)
- Untamed (Ultra-matte tarnished green)
- New Wave (Ultra-matte citron orange)
- Fudge (Ultra-matte warm bronze)
- Electric (Duo chrome lime-gold)
- Roxy (Ultra-matte muted coral)
Look One: Smokey Fudge

This look I started out with the shade Dawn throughout my crease then used Mercury to deepened in. Next I used some Rowdy on the outer corner on both the lids and lower lash line. Then I used New Wave to blend out in the inner half of my lower lash line. Next I cut the crease and applied the shade Adorn across the lids then used ColourPop Supernova Shadow in Running in Orbits to help separate the crease. Then I used a mixture of Rowdy and New Wave to blend out Adorn. For my lashes I have on Ardell Studio Effect Layered Demi Wispies and on my lips I have on Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Delicious mixed with Family Jewels.
Look Two: Pop of Peach

I hardly ever have issues with the Subculture palette but you can kind of see in the photos that there was an issue with the outer corner with shadow sticking on one of my eyes. Anyways, to create this look I used Roxy throughout the crease then used All Star in the outer corner. Which is the shade that skipped on one of my eyes. Then I used Cube over the entire lid then layered on top Electric. Next I applied NYX Epic Ink Liner and ColourPop Supernova Shadow in Dragon to define the crease and underneath the cat wing. In my lower lash line I used Roxy and All Star. On my lips I’m wearing ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lip in Scenic Route, which is a peachy nude. And not that you can tell from the pictures but I have on ColourPop BFF Mascara in Lovers’ Coral on my lower lashes.
Look Three: Military Halo

I was in the mood for a halo eye look on the last day of using this palette for this. I didn’t get many good photos of this look so excuse the sudden switch to two views only. I’m also not wearing false lashes this day as I wanted to take a break from those but I do think this look would’ve benefited from those. Also I get my makeup area set up or at least the lighting is back.
Ok enough of the background stuff, onto how I created this look. I started out with a mixture of Edge and New Wave in the crease then used Untamed to start that halo look on my lids. Once that was built up I took Adorn with a bit of Electric on top for the center of my lid. Then to behind the bronze with the green I used the shade Destiny. Then I went into the lower lash line using a combination of Untamed and Destiny on the outer half and Edge and New Wave in the inner half. Then to complete out the eyes I used more Electric for the inner corner and brow highlight. As for my lips I’m wearing ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Chi and I have on Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighter in Centipede for the rest of my highlight.
Also I don’t know how I feel about the photos as I don’t have things completely set up yet so I had to color correct the photos. So, things might not be 100% accurate for coloring. But I tried. Anyways… what look is your favorite of these three?
Love ya,
