3 Looks 1 Palette: Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker

Alright time to share some of the looks I created using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker palette which is the larger of the two palettes released in the Summer 2019 collection. I tried to incorporate as many shades as possible in each of these looks to get the most out of the palette when I was trying it out.

Look 1: Heat of the Summer

This first look is a fire-y look focused around the warm tone colors from the palette. I started out with Cone through the entire crease then layered it up with Fuck. Then I took the shade Raspberry to deepen the outer corner, and Suck in the middle section of the crease before adding some more Fuck in the inner third of the crease. Next I used my finger to apply And What? to the outer third of the lid, Orange Juice in the center, and Lemon Drop on the inner. Then I took Jawbreaker for an inner corner and brow bone highlight. Then I used Raspberry to smoke out the lower lash line with more Fuck.

I did not wear any false lashes this day just a generous coating of Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara and some NYX Epic Ink Liner for a mini cat wing. The rest of my makeup is simple as it’s what I wore to work, so minimum effort on everything else. Just a bit of concealer and Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Fully Nude on the lips.

Look 2: Blue Raspberry Popsicle

Another work day makeup look. So I did not wear any false lashes this day just a generous coating of Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara and some NYX Epic Ink Liner. The rest of my makeup is simple as it’s what I wore to work, so minimum effort on everything else. Just a bit of foundation, concealer, light bronzer and Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Fully Nude on the lips.

As for what I’m wearing on my eyes…

I started out with Brain Freeze throughout the crease then deepened it with Soaked. Next I used some Delicious for the outer corner then layered on Bite Me over the crease before going back in with Soaked and Delicious to blend the two. Next I used Snack in the inner corner. Then applied a light amount of Delicious with Soaked on the lower lash line.

Look 3: A Splash of Color

It’s the weekend so that means full glam… or I have more time to do my makeup so it ends up being something over the top. And that means a lot of shades from the Jawbreaker palette found their way into this look. I started out with Wow throughout the crease then layered Suck and Licorice to create a gradient effect in the crease. Then I cut the crease and covered the lids in Cute then used some Soaked mixed with Raspberry for the outer corner of the lids. To create a definite separation between the lids and crease I used ColourPop Gel Creme Liner in Kicker then applied the ColourPop Supernova Shadow in Over Again on top of that silver line.

Next I did the rest of my face using the Milani 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer in 00A Porcelain, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair Neutral, Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer, e.l.f. blush in Candid Coral, ColourPop Supershock Highlighter in Flexitarian and Fenty Beauty Killawatt Highlighter in Hu$tla Baby. Next I applied Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Strawberry Crush on my lips. For my brows, I used ColourPop Brow Pomade in Cool Cocoa and Brow Boss in Dark Brown.

Going back to the eyes, I applied NYX Epic Ink Liner, Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara on the top with Azeredo Cosmetics Lashes in Hollywood (use code MAE10 for 10% off), and ColourPop BFF Mascara in Kiss ‘N Teal on the bottom lashes. Before I used the ColourPop mascara on the bottom lashes I smoked out the lower lash line with Suck, Raspberry, Delicious, and Wow. Then applied the ColourPop Gel Creme Pencil Liner in Zulu to the waterline to keep that teal going from the lids. Then I used some Jawbreaker as an inner corner and brow bone highlight to complete out the look.

Final Thoughts on Jawbreaker Palette

Those were all of the looks I have created thus far with this palette, which included all but 7 out of 24 shadows. So I did use a fair amount of the shades out of the palette to create these looks.

There was little to no fall out when I used the shadows and the only one that had any kickback in the pan was Cute, but I picked it all back up when I dipped into the pan again. There is some staining with the red tone shades in the palette, but nothing too crazy. And that’s mainly due to the fact this is a vegan formula. As for blending, I had no problems with any of the shades. They all worked together nicely with full pigmentation as I created each look. I didn’t experience any patchy shades as I created the looks, so overall I give the palette a thumbs up.

Is it worth the $58? While I do love the palette, I can’t say anything is worth that much. Some of these shades are ones I have in other palettes already, but if you’re looking for a rainbow palette and don’t mind that price tag than this one is a good option. Plus you get pastels… not a lot of companies make a pastel rainbow so I especially like that about this palette.

Love ya,

Mae Polzine

Loving the looks you created! The palette really does seem to be extremely versatile – but I do agree with the price point being a little steep…

      Thank you!

Yeah a bit much in my opinion compared to other palettes. Especially since it’s standard packaging and not anything fancy or luxurious.

I did not. Most of my filming set up is packed away at the moment. But I could make one after the move for this look.

It’s alright. Yeah I’m having fun playing with the palette. Tons of color combinations still to have fun with.
