3 Looks 1 Palette – Kaleidos Makeup Futurism IV: VR Neon Palette

I have been in such a colorful makeup mood lately, I have barely touched my neutral palettes since I think winter. And that’s not stopping anytime soon. Instead of doing individual reviews for each of the Kaleidos Makeup summer limited edition palettes, I thought I would do a “3 Looks 1 Palette” on each of them. So to start with we have the Futurism IV: VR Neon palette.

This palette like their previous ones contains 6 shades, with four mattes and 2 duo-chromes for $24. The shades are as followed:

  • Hologram: An electric orange sparkling duo-chrome with finely pixelated golden iridescence.
  • Easter Egg: rich magenta sparkling duo-chrome with a dash of violet iridescence hidden inside.
  • Game Over: a drop dead gorgeous vermilion red matte.
  • Boss: An undefeatable neon orange matte that packs a fruity punch.
  • Level Up: citrus yellow matte to boost your neon game.
  • Glitch: A startlingly crisp lime green matte.

Please ignore my previously sunburnt skin. I was in the sun for literally an hour or so to watch horse races with my mom for Labor Day, and I got sun poisoning even though I was wearing sunscreen. And just one patch of skin is now just starting not to be red anymore, turning into a tan. That being my chest and the tip of my nose. It’s wonderful.

Anyways…

Not the point of this post. Onto the three makeup looks using this palette. Also each of these looks were taken around ten to twelve hours of wear time with no touch ups on anything other than my lipstick.

Look 1: Neon Sunset

The first look is a neon sunset using a gradient of the shades Level Up, Boss, and Game Over in the crease then Hologram and Easter Egg on the lids. I used the first three matte shades in my lower lash line. For the inner corner, I did dip into the Futurism V: Electro-Turquoise for the shade Shockwave which is a white platinum metallic. For my waterline, I kept with the neon theme and used ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Insomniac. And on my lips I have on ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Yes is More.

Look 2: Citrus Delight

I’ve done a look similar to this before using another palette, but it’s something I really enjoy. That being a combination of yellow and lime in the crease and a light colored lid. For this look I used Level Up and Glitch, then used some more of that Shockwave shade from the Electro-Turquoise palette with Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighter in Glow Worm for the lid. For my lower lash line I used more Level Up and Glitch, with ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Electric Daisy for the waterline. On my lips I have on Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Can’t Relate.

Look 3: Halo Moment

The last look that I did using this palette was a halo style makeup look using the shades Level Up, Boss, and Game Over creating the gradient from yellow to orange to red with the red being the heaviest in the inner and corner corners. Then I used Easter Egg going into the center with Hologram in the very center to complete the halo effect. In my waterline I’m using another neon gel liner from ColourPop, this one is the shade Untz. On my lips I’m wearing Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Strawberry Crush.
