I used to be obsessed with Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation, but mine unfortunately expired and that foundation is so insanely expense I just can’t bring myself to repurchasing it. But I really wanted to have a stick foundation again, so I decided to get the ColourPop No Filter Stick Foundation in the shades Fair 27 N and Fair 30 C. So today, I’m going to share my thoughts and opinions on this stick foundation as well as the results of an all day wear test.
Fair 27 N and Fair 30 C are not the most fair shades in the collection, and since I reach for Fair 20 in the liquid foundation from ColourPop I thought the fairest in the stick foundation would look too pale on me. So I went the similar number range for the stick foundation, which worked out perfectly for me. These are the fourth and fifth lightest shades in the No Filter Stick Foundation collection. And the reason I went for both a cool and neutral undertone is because depending on the day I feel like my skin goes back and forth.
The No Filter Stick Foundation from ColourPop costs $10 and contains 9.5 grams (0.34 oz) of product. It’s weightless and blends easily for a natural skin-like finish. I wouldn’t call this foundation full-coverage but is is medium to buildable for coverage.
I did the wear test on Saturday and first applied it at 11:00 AM. So here is how it looks after first application of the foundation.
Then I went out and did a bunch of errands, where it was -5 degrees outside and my nose was runny. I also enjoyed some late lunch/early dinner with my mom in between first application and the check in. So when I got back it was around 3:30 PM, or around 4.5 hours after application. You can see wear around my face, but still looks good.
The next time I checked my makeup close up was at 7:16 PM (around 8 hour mark), I apparently bumped my nose and noticed the foundation was missing. Also noticed the mascara was flaking off but unlike the Milk Makeup Kush Mascara. I was also testing the ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara in Black on Black. I’ll have a separate review on that later this week. I do see a dry patch that didn’t appear until this second and final check-in.
Ultimately, I like the foundation. Do I think it’s the best thing in the world? No, but it also isn’t bad. I like the finish on my skin, it lasted most of the day though not the full length that I usually go for since if I’m wearing foundation to work I need it to last a full twelve hours before breaking down, and it’s almost unnoticeable feeling on the skin. I would probably reach for this foundation when I’m going to be wearing makeup for a shorter time period to avoid the worn down appearance as you can probably see in the last check-in.
