I am a makeup addict and there is a lot of makeup being released every day. Some are over the top amazing and some fall flat. But you never know, where they fall on that spectrum until you purchase and try it for yourself. And then there are just items that you don’t have any interest in purchasing. So instead of a haul of things I got, or a wish list of things I really want. Let’s do one of things that I have no interest in ever purchasing.
None of these is to be negative towards the brands in any way, they are just products they released that I’m just not into. Or want in my collection. If any of these items work for you or you want, that is totally fine. These are just things I personally can never see myself getting. Some of these brands I haven’t tried before while others are some of my all time favorites.
And since I have not purchased and will not purchase these items, credit to the images is below each one since they are not my own.
I have done this in the past but since then new products have come out and I’ve discovered new things that I don’t want to add to my collection.
Enough of the introduction, let’s get into the Anti-Haul!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette
Originally when I saw this palette, I actually did want to add it into my collection as these colors just call to me. But since it’s release, I have seen enough poor reviews of this palette to know it’s not worth the money. It’s apparently insanely powdery and just fall out overload, so no thank you. And apparently the shades are very similar to the Jeffree Star Androgyny Eyeshadow palette. So I going to just go get that palette over this one.
Smashbox Studio Skin Shaping Foundation Stick
There has only been one stick foundation that I have ever fallen in love with and that’s the Hourglass Vanish Foundation, which is the same price as this foundation. But this one has 0.4 oz of product split between the contour shade and the foundation shade. The Hourglass foundation is 0.25 oz so for it has a tad bit more product if you do the math. The reason I have this on my anti-haul list is because when I was testing this out in store I noticed a few things:
- None of the shades worked for me.
- The contour for “my shade” was dark in my opinion.
- I would never end up using that side in general so it would seem wasteful for me.
Milk Makeup Holographic Lip Gloss
First this is not holographic, it’s a iridescent duo chrome. If you want to know more about what real holographic looks like or want a definition of what it actually is, check out one of my previous blog posts “History of the Trend: Holographic.” And the main reason I’m putting it on my anti-haul list is because I’m not a gloss fan and if I do go for a lip gloss I want something with a lot of pigment. Which this does not from what I’ve seen. So I would rather go for a tinted lip balm.
