I have done several of these in the past and more things have come out, and with that is more things that I want in my collection and several that I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole. These are all products brands that were released that I’m just not into, not to drag any brand as almost all of these I have in my collection. These are also just things I don’t want in my collection. If any of these items work for you or you want, that is totally fine. These are just things I personally can never see myself getting. Some of these brands I haven’t tried before while others are some of my all time favorites.
And since I have not purchased and will not purchase these items, credit to the images is below each one since they are not my own.
Enough of the introduction, let’s get into the Anti-Haul!
Tarte Shape Tape Foundation
There are two main reasons why this one is on an anti-haul:
- Exclusive. And by that I mean, Tarte made the choice to exclude people of color from their shade range. Then commented that those shades were still in the works. Making people of color an after thought rather than waiting until they were all ready to come out at the same time. That’s 100% not right, don’t claim to be inclusive then exclude a certain group during the initial release.
- Orange shades. From what I have seen of all the shades in the collection, they are freaking orange from the lightest shades to the darkest. Hardly anyone, if anyone, has orange undertones. I have pink undertones so none of these shades in either the matte or hydrating formula would work for me. I love the shades of the shape tape concealers, but come on, the foundation is less than sub-par. Get it together!
NYX Powder Puff Lippie
These are a lip cream that goes on like a mousse then sets as a powder with a pillow/cushion applicator. From what I have seen of these they don’t apply evenly and just aren’t something I would reach for on a daily basis over my ColourPop Liquid Lipsticks or Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks. They are interesting looking, but just not something I could honestly see myself using past a review. So I’m not going to be purchasing it as it would be a waste.
Kylie Cosmetics Blue Honey Palette
The name sounds cool and all but the shades in the palette just seem so random. The top row is neutrals and a yellow tone, the middle is blue and the bottom is cranberry. That doesn’t seem so much like blue honey to me that just seems like primary colors. Not that they don’t look pretty together but I have all of these shades individually already from ColourPop. Plus the palette doesn’t come with a mirror, so it just seems overpriced for something I can put together using ColourPop shadows for less.
ColourPop LUX Lipsticks
Speaking of ColourPop, they are going to be releasing a new cream lipstick somewhat like their lippie stix. Which they might be discontinuing but that I’m not 100% sure on. In December, I made the decisions that I was no longer going to be getting or purchasing cream lipsticks as I don’t wear them or reach for them. I used to wear them ALL THE TIME, but I have not reached for a single cream lipstick in almost two years so I’m not going to be purchasing these purely for that reason.
