Beauty and the Beast Collection by Lorac

Lorac recently released the Beauty and the Beast collection in celebration of the release of the Beauty and the Beast DVD release, which included an eyeshadow palette, lipstick, blush, and lip gloss. I purchased everything but the lipsticks as those were out of stock but will be purchasing these in the future as they look amazing. Growing up I loved Beauty and the Beast, and for my Senior Prom my dress was basically a Belle gown. And yes, I went shopping forever and couldn’t find a single dress I loved enough to purchase for prom until I saw the Belle gown. I instantly felt like a princess in it and still wear it to this day, because it was expensive. But hey, I have a Belle gown for whenever such an occasion arises.

The eyeshadow palette is $48, the lipstick collection is $36, the lipgloss collection is $34 and the blush palette is $28. As I previously mentioned, currently the lipstick is out of stock but they are planning on bringing this back so when that happens I will be getting the lipsticks. Do I need more lipstick, no. But the packaging of these is so gorgeous and I can’t help it. This is the first time I’ve ever gotten anything from Lorac so I didn’t know what to expect about this collection or their line going into it. I was debating on getting the Pirates of the Caribbean eyeshadow palette, but as much as I love that series I wasn’t overly sold by the shades enough where I could justify getting that palette as they just aren’t shades I would wear that often. But the ones in the Beauty and the Beast collection, I can see myself wearing all the time.

Overall Thoughts

These shades apply beautifully and smoothly. You can apply them by the row or mix and match. I chose to just go with the top row with Beast Mode under my eyes which I think pulled together the look with the outfit I was wearing. And overall, just gave it a gun metal type feel. I love that the lip gloss is vanilla scented, which was a very pleasant surprise in my opinion as it’s my favorite scent. I ate Chips & Cheese (aka Nachos) and the gloss wasn’t completely gone and still looked relatively nice. Plus they aren’t tacky which is a huge selling point for me. As for the blush, it’s very subtle and gives you a glow from within look, which is my all time favorite way to wear blush. Overall, I’m insanely impressed by this collection. When the lipsticks come back in stock, I’m so going to get them as I’m sure they are just as amazing as the rest of the collection.

So do I recommend this collection? Hell Yeah! This collection gets TWO massive thumbs up.

What movie would you love to see a beauty collection for? I’m holding out for a Tangled one personally though I don’t know what that would even look like.
