I was recently going through my makeup collection and de-cluttering a bunch of products that I didn’t end up using. During this process I found a bunch of empty products that I held onto so I wouldn’t forget how much I loved them to repurchase in the future. Then I went on a no buy, and never ended up purchasing new ones instead moved onto a ‘Project Pan’ style method with the rest of my collection. However, it gave me the idea to go over the products that I loved and used up in 2019 as there were quite a few standouts in my opinion looking back over the last year.
I don’t have all of the products anymore since I got rid of the empties before writing this post, I know I’m a terrible blogger, sorry. I’m still getting back into blogging. So, not everything is photographed.
Beauty Blender Bounce Liquid Whip Foundation
Now I did not try this when it was first released as the shade range was terrible; however, since then they did increase the range and I ended up getting the shade 1.10 N. Which ended up being my favorite foundation to the point where I stopped bouncing between different foundations and just used that one until all of the product was gone. Right now I’m using up others in my collection that aren’t expired, but if my some miracle I get through those before they expire I’m going to end up repurchasing the Beauty Blender Bounce Liquid Whip Foundation. It’s not cheap at $40, but considering how much use I got out of it and it stayed perfect looking throughout fourteen to eighteen hour days… I would say it’s worth it.
Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Palette
If there’s a palette that stood out for me in 2019, it would be Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 and I have only had it for less than a month. But I am constantly reaching for this when I get ready for work in the morning. I’m always inspired to create something different when I grab this palette and have never had an issue with it. Plus I even love the glitter shades which normally I hate to a point I had gotten rid of all my loose glitters and glitter glue in the past.
UOMA Beauty Stay Woke Concealer
I went through three of these concealers from UOMA Beauty during the course of last year. While I do feel I went through it insanely fast in comparison to Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, it looked more natural under my eyes. The Stay Woke Concealer costs $23 and contains 0.17 oz of product, which is less than the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer ($27) but also has way less product as Shape Tape as 0.33 oz. So, while I went through a lot of these during the course of the year and that’s why I’m including it in this list. It’s not as cost effective as the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, which I have since returned to even though I did love the UOMA Beauty Stay Woke Concealer.
Briogeo Hair Care Curl Charisma Collection
Instead of mentioning each product individually, I’m just going to mention the collection as a whole. For the past year this has been the only thing I’ve used for my hair using the Curly Girl Method. I have never been more in love with my hair since using the Curl Charisma Collection. My hair looks nice, my curls are not frizzy in fact I have some natural ringlets without me doing much work (literally just scrunch the product in once and my hair does the rest). Each product costs between $20-24 but considering how nice my hair looks, I don’t care about the cost.
Honorable Mentions
These aren’t things that I per-say discovered in 2019 but they are the things that I frequently used throughout the year:
- Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara
- ColourPop Pressed Powder Bronzer in Private Party
- NYX Epic Ink Liner
- ColourPop Precision Brow Colour in Cool Cocoa
- Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighter in Centipede
I don’t always list every product I use on Instagram mainly as it’s the same products and only list the standouts (main components like eyeshadow, lashes, lips, etc.) but if I didn’t mention it then it was probably one of these products. They are basically my holy grails at this point, and I don’t mess with things that are my favorites.

WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS OF 2019?
Love ya,
