BH Cosmetics Zodiac Palette Review

Advertisements

Ulta has been expanding their inventory with a lot of different brands lately, and one of the newer brands that I’ve seen hit their store is BH Cosmetics. Which is a drugstore brand based in Los Angeles that I have not seen in any other stores in my area. One of their palettes really interested me as I love astrology, this was the Zodiac palette. This palette includes 25 eyeshadows (12 baked shimmers and 12 buttery mattes), and one highlighter that can also be used as an eyeshadow. The Zodiac Palette is also gluten free which I know for some people is extremely important to consider when purchasing makeup. I wouldn’t say this palette is travel friendly due to it’s size but you could create a large number of looks out of this palette.

I found this palette super easy to use and the shimmers are incredible, I did not have to wet my brush for them to pop or appear. Sometimes you have to do that in order for them to give that pop. Which isn’t that hard but it’s amazing when you don’t have to deal with that especially if you want to apply the shadows with a brush. Typically I use my fingers to apply these types of shadows, but I didn’t have to do that with this palette. And the mattes are incredible. I didn’t notice that much fall out or kick back.

Recently I’ve been into cool tones so I created this purple look when I was testing out the palette. Ever since I switched from my red hair to a more natural color, probably cause I’ve avoided it for several months. For this look, I used the shades between Libra and Virgo. I’m also wearing the highlighter from this palette but you can’t really see it in the photos as the light isn’t hitting it at that moment.

I cannot wait to create more looks out of this palette. So would I recommend this palette? Yes I would. I freaking love it, plus it’s not that much for the number of shadows you get. As for what else I’m wearing for makeup in this look, check out the “Shop the Post” Section.
