Last year I built up a lot of points at Ulta and hadn’t used a large majority of them. And being on a low buy, I didn’t want to spend money on anything new. However, there are some products that have been on my wishlist forever so I decided to just get one item using those points. That being the Black Moon Cosmetics Orb of Light – Full Moon Palette which was recently released at Ulta.

This palette goes really well with the Black Moon Cosmetics aesthetic. Centered around the moon, Gothic yet slightly grungy. This palette has eight matte tones in a half moon shaped palette. These shadows are very pigmented and blends easily. This palette is vegan and cruelty free.

Description of the eight shades in the palette:

  • New (warm ivory -for base/setting)
  • Strawberry (dusty pink)
  • Cold (taupe brown)
  • Worm (warm dijon mustard yellow)
  • Harvest (burnt orange)
  • Blood (dried blood red)
  • Wolf (warm deep brown)
  • Black (blackest black)

In a sea of neutral palettes, this one has a very grunge undertone which I love. If I didn’t have to dress business causal to business chic on a daily basis you can bet my wardrobe would be filled with ripped clothing and band t-shirts. I love the grunge style and this palette is a pretty for this style. You can make a variety of looks from basic to glam, but also grunge. Here is just one of the looks I created using the Orb of Light – Full Moon Palette along with ColourPop Supernova Shadow in OG and Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks in Stone.

In summary, I seriously liked this palette and can’t wait to create more looks using it. As well as mixing in a number of other products and individual shadows to create a variety of looks.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE BLACK MOON COSMETICS ORB OF LIGHT – FULL MOON PALETTE?

Love ya,
