As I mentioned about a week ago, I got The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Typically I like reading the book series before diving into movies or shows but this time was the opposite. I saw the TV show first then watched the movie and now I’ve finished the first book in the series. So I thought I would compare the three together on the merits of which one was the closest to following the plot of the book. Since I will be talking about the plot of all three, a spoiler warning is in effect.
In the last month or so, I started watching Freeform’s Shadowhunters, and have finished it three times now. I have yet to get to the books mind you, so I’m going to be comparing the movie, Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and the TV Show only. And mainly I’m going to be comparing the first season of Shadowhunters to the movie, since they cover the same amount of material since the show has continued onto the other books and now gone sort of in their own direction at this point.View Post
Since I’m done with the connecting the Disney movie series, I thought we would just go over what the time period and general location of each of the Disney princess movies. Some movies it’s really easy to tell where they happened based off the story or the architecture, while others are a little more difficult to place. Some are placed in certain areas due to the author of the original tale and their origins, while others are taking context clues from the movies. And yes some of these may be off, but it’s not like it’s specifically stated anywhere in these movies where their fictional land takes place. And I have seen a lot of different ideas floating around where and when each movie occurred.View Post
This is the final article in the “Connection the Disney Movies” series, but I might do some more in the future if I find or discover another interesting theory about the movies. In today’s article, we’re going to be connecting Monsters Inc., Toy Story 3, and Brave together. And these all revolve around the character Boo from Monsters Inc., with her pursuit to find Sully “Kitty”.View Post
In today’s installment of connecting the Disney movies together we’re going to focus more on Frozen, Tangled, and Tarzan. One of them is supported very heavily in the films while one is a fan theory that I don’t personally 100% agree with, but felt it was worth sharing considering even the co-director agrees with it.View Post
In the last installment of my Disney series we explored Easter Eggs and in this installment we’re going to connect The Little Mermaid to Hercules and Frozen. One of them is a definite connection while the other is more of a fan theory. Since there are is nothing in either movie that really calls to the other, but it’s easy to draw the connection between the two.View Post
