CLEAN Rollerball Layering Collection Review & 1500 Subscriber Giveaway (Closed)

CLEAN is a perfume brand I heard about from Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella) in one of her monthly favorites. And put on my wishlists for a later date. Then I saw Ulta started carrying this brand the other day and had to try it. Especially as I saw they had all of these samples of each scent so you can figure out which scent is your favorite before you get the full size. There is one scent that CLEAN has on their website that isn’t available on Ulta that I wanted to try, but I’m super excited all the others are included in this collection.

Warm Cotton Eau de Parfum Rollerball

The first rollerball fragrance in the collection reminds me of fresh clothing pulled out of the laundry. Which isn’t something that I’m usually a fan of but I love layering this scent with some of the other ones.

The full size bottle of this is 1.0 fl oz and costs $40. This is the same for all the other perfumes in this collection. Some of these do have a mid-sized rollerball as well that has 0.34 fl oz and costs $20. The samples in this collection are 0.17 fl oz and all together cost $20.

As I’m terrible at describing what makes up a scent, I did look up what all the notes are supposed to be.

Top Notes: Citrus & Verbena

Mid Notes: Fruity, Orange Flower & Marine

Base Notes: Fougere, Amber & Musk

Blossom Eau de Parfum Rollerball

I’m not usually a fan of floral scents, but I actually really enjoy this scent. It’s like walking through a garden or past the flowered trees in my neighborhood. It’s a subtle yet refreshing scent that is the perfect scent for spring. It’s feminine yet elegant at the same time without giving you that (no offense to anyone) old woman scent. I am really curious about how they obtained their sandalwood as apparently trade for that is quite interesting, but I have no idea as I couldn’t find any information about that.

As for what the notes are in this fragrance, they are as followed:

Top Notes: Tunisian neroli, seringa petals HP, yellow freesia

Mid Notes: Orange blossom, rain lily HP, Georgia magnolia, blue dianthus

Base Notes: Skin musk, cotton wood, sensual sandalwood

Air Eau de Parfum Rollerball

I love a good woody scent that reminds me of walking through the forest on a crisp fall day. Or of the time I went hiking through the mountains in Montana back at my first college. And this perfume captures all of those memories and rolls them into one. The floral scent in this isn’t overpowering but just enough to bring out those memories of wildflowers.

This one when layered with others is so interesting and brings out the floral scent of each perfume, but doesn’t make it too strong to the point where I can’t stand it. Which is something I really love about it!

As for what the notes are in this fragrance, they are as followed:

Top Notes: Mountain air accord, bergamot blossoms, lush green accord

Mid Notes: Sparkling freesia, powdered aldehydes, dewy peony

Base Notes: Enveloping musk, cashmere woods, white amber

Skin Eau de Parfum Rollerball

Now upon first looking at the name for this perfume, I honestly didn’t know what to think about it. Looking at the notes, I knew I would like it as it has some vanilla in it. But the idea of it being skin made me curious. What is the scent of bare skin? And why would anyone want to get a perfume that is supposed to resemble that? As you already have that for free.

After trying the perfume that came in the collection, I was in love with it! There are just enough hints of dewy flower petals with the creaminess of vanilla and musk, that it doesn’t seem bland. It’s enticing yet fresh and pure. And overall, it does resemble what “skin” more or less smells like after a good shower.

As for what the notes are in this fragrance, they are as followed:

Top Notes: Sheer Honeydew, Lotus Blossom & Fresh Air Accord

Mid Notes: Dewy Petals, Aquatic Notes & Blue Rose

Base Notes: White Musks, Amber Wood & Creamy Vanilla

Rain Eau de Parfum Rollerball

Now this is the scent I had put on my wishlist originally along with White Woods that is not included in this collection. As I just adore the smell and sound of rain. Now Pixie hates it, but I sleep the best any night there is a storm or rain in general. So have a perfume that compasses everything that I love about rain is something I can totally get down with. Even though it’s not my usual vanilla perfume that basically makes up my entire collection.

Now like the other perfumes this does have hints of floral but in a way as if rain had just clung to a flower petal and everything in nature is quiet, soft, and bright for just a moment once the rain has past.

As for what the notes are in this fragrance, they are as followed:

Top Notes: Dewy Melon, Daffodil & Watermint

Mid Notes: Spring Daisy, Water Lily & Violet Leaves

Base Notes: Fluid Musks & Sleek Woods

Overall Thoughts

I love this entire collection. Every scent makes me happy and brings back various memories, which is something that I love. My favorite scents by far have to be Rain, Air, and Skin. And layering combination would be Rain and Air as it gives me that walking through mountains just after rainfall. There is seriously nothing better than that in my opinion.
