Inspired by the movie Mean Girls and released on October 3rd (Mean Girls‘ Day) which just happened to be pink. This is their second 9-pan palette that includes a mirror and the shade names written underneath the shadows. And this palette will help you look really pretty! With a mixture of matte, metallic, and satin formula shadows.

This palette costs $12 and each pan has 0.035 oz of product. And while the palette was released on Mean Girls’ day, the shades and overall look of the palette don’t scream Mean Girls. Though that’s probably due to licensing and copyrights. However I do wish there was more to the packaging than just bright pink and a soft baby pink on the inside. It looks cheap that way and like it was put together last minute. Like they wanted something for the day and had these shadows, but didn’t have a lot of time to make something more elaborate. But that’s just my opinion, as I know there are others who prefer a sleek and minimalist design.

Description of the Shades in Ooh La La Eyeshadow Palette:

  • Tickled: soft opalescent pink with violet, pink, & blue glitter flip
  • Soft Core: matte warm pink
  • Poodle: matte vibrant true pink
  • Big Sugar: bright bubblegum pink with a silver sheen
  • Opulent: bright fuchsia with a blue sheen
  • Sandbar: matte neon pink
  • Trove: matte raspberry
  • Caddy: vibrant deep violet
  • Moon Struck: metallic peachy gold

The the Sol and Mar 9-pan shadow palettes, some of the shades move in their container as if they are not glued down but rather sitting just on magnetic backing. Sometimes this can create some issues with grabbing the shadows. But ultimately I love the Colourpop Pressed Shadow Formula, so I can overlook this. Each shade is highly pigmented, ultra-velvety and silky. Also it is long wearing which I really love since I’m out of the house for ten to eleven hours, when I’m wearing the eyeshadow to work. Plus it blends easily on my eyes and I especially love that it’s all pink as there aren’t many palettes like that. However, they do slightly stain your skin just so you are aware if you pick up this palette.
