I first got ColourPop Pressed eyeshadows a few months ago when I was trying to finish filling up my Z palette of single eyeshadows. And I fell in love with them, so when they released their summer shades I got all of the 12 pressed eyeshadows. Each shadow is $5, but when I purchaed them they were on sale for $4 and for every 5 purchased you got a empty palette. Which I used to hold some other single blushes I had from Tarte. And got myself a large empty palette to hold all of the pressed eyeshadows from ColourPop so I could get more in the future and house them there as well.

Inspired Looks

This look was inspired by my Tanya Burr nails (don’t know the shade name I lost the label for it) and a turquoise ring I got from my Grandmother. For my inner corner, I used the pressed eyeshadow named Blow Fish. For my crease, I have a combination of Beach Blanket and Sea Stars. And on my lids I have Muscle Beach and Tiny Tangerines. And on my lips I put ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips in Dohee.

This look I really wanted to play with the satin/metallic colors. I started out by doing this cat eyeliner that then comes back into the crease from Kat Von D Ink Liner in Hemingway. Then I layered up the color and smudged the top liner. Colors that I used on the lid were Lil’ Boat for the smudging, Cannonball in the outer corner, Salt Water in the center, and Ready or Yacht in the inner corner. Under my eyes is Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic palette in Saphyre. Then I touched up the liner. On my lips I used ColourPop Metallic Lips in Light Out layered with ColourPop Ultra Satin in Echo Park. And I’m just wearing Physicians Formula Organic Wear mascara on my lashes. You can’t see it in the picture but I have Wet’n’Wild Precious Petals highlighter in all the highlight places.

This is the last look I created using these eyeshadows. I originally was going to do one using the Rose All Day but I couldn’t get it to look the way I wanted it to. So I decided just to switch it out with cannonball. I also added in the brown tones in the outer corner and Ready or Yacht in the inner corner. Yes it’s similar to the one I posted on Instagram before that but there were two days in between those looks. The day I didn’t post is the one that failed using Rose All Day. For eyeliner to add some complimentary colors, I used a navy blue eyeliner from Kat Von D. And then on my lips I put Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie.

Final Verdict

Overall, I really love the shadows that I got. They are super pigmented and blend amazingly as long as I’m using the right brush. For some reason, one of my blending brushes just eats up all the product but all the rest don’t have that issue so I’m blaming the brush on that one. I also really love their empty magnetic palettes and will probably get more of both the palettes and the single pressed eyeshadows.
