About two years ago I first tried ColourPop’s Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks, and noticed after my first impressions post I noticed my lips were insanely dried out. So I got rid of all my Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks and switched to Ultra Satin. Then a few months ago, I decided I would try out a few of them again since they changed the formula. Or so I heard, and the new shades did have a new formula that made them feel nicer on the lips. But any that were part of the initial launch, still left my lips feel like the life was drained out of them. When the holiday collection was launched, it was the Ultra Matte formula while the fall collection was the Ultra Satin. So I was a little cautious about getting these lipsticks, but caved in on Cyber Monday when they were $4 instead of $6. As that made it a little more tempting to get these six shades. Plus all of these shades are in my absolute favorite shade range.

Final Thoughts

After swatching the liquid lipsticks, my skin was very irritated but my lips didn’t feel dried out. I ended up leaving Star Crossed on for the remainer of my evening after the swatching video/photos. And my lips felt like there was nothing on them. If anything they even felt like they were moisturized, not like a gloss would but like an hour after applying lip balm feels like. I loved it. Way better formulation compared to the first batch I tried. Plus as I mentioned in the beginning, these are all of my go-to colors. So overall, I can seriously see myself wearing these liquid lipsticks a lot even over my favorite Jeffree Star Cosmetics ones. Plus these are only $5 each. Some of the shades have sold out and are no longer available when this post comes out as this collection was limited edition. But let me know in the comments, which shade is your favorite?
