I can’t remember in what recent post I mentioned this in, I really wanted to create a skin care regime as I have not been following one. I used to do a face mask every now and then, or something other than a cleanser, but not a full routine. So when I was on Ulta at like 2:00 AM and came across this Hello Hydration skin care collection from E.L.F. I really wanted to try it. This collection is supposed to give you hydrated, glowing, and healthy looking skin. I do not have everything from the collection but I do have the following: Daily Cleanser, Illuminating Eye Cream, Daily Hydration Moisturizer, and Hydrating Bubble Mask.
Skin Before Products
To began with I started with the e.l.f. daily face cleanser to take off all of my makeup, and it did a pretty good job at taking everything off. But it definitely didn’t get everything off as more came off later when I was doing the bubble mask. I did feel like my skin was cleaning after using this but knowing that more came off later I know it wasn’t that clean. I would still go in with a makeup wipe or another round of cleansing afterwards.
Next I put on the bubble mask which removes dirt and other things from your pores. To apply the product you need to have a damp face. Then you push down on the sides of the top to get the product. After you apply a thin layer, bubbles will start to form. And I did feel some tingling that tickled and made me sneeze which is why my nose looks like there’s nothing on it. After about 5-10 minutes the bubbles will dissipate, and at this point you will massage the reminder of the product into your skin. Once massaged wash away everything with warm water. This is where I saw everything that wasn’t picked up by the cleanser. Once washed away you can pat your skin dry.
Next I followed up the bubble mask with the daily moisturizer which is infused with Purified Water, Jojoba, Aloe, Vitamin E, and Cucumber. It felt really nice on the skin and really brought out the glow in my skin. Plus I could see my skin wasn’t looking as dry.
Finally I used the illuminating eye cream under my eye and around my brow bone. This helped to remove the dark circles under my eyes and also reduces any puffiness.
Ignoring the mascara and left over eyeliner that has smeared under my eyes after all this since I know I didn’t get that all off when I took off my makeup, I can see a visible difference in my dark circles under my eyes. They were worse before but they are by no means completely gone. As for my skin I do see a nice glow and I feel like my skin is hydrated.
If you’ve ever tried these products before, let me know what you thought of the Hello Hydration collection by e.l.f.
