There’s nothing better than finding a bomb dot com mascara at the drugstore… or the drugstore section of Ulta. And that’s where I find myself browsing quite often. Typically online since I don’t like going into stores most of the times. I just don’t like having to make small talk or dealing with a lot of people when I want to test and play with makeup. But online shopping doesn’t offer the option to test things out. Anyways, my sister and I have been making a few trips there lately to get her makeup that’s not expired (she just got into makeup and all her products were like eight or so years old). And I ended up picking up a few things as well including Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara.
Now it’s probably not a good thing that I have multiple mascaras I’m using at once, but I like to use different mascaras for different days or looks. Sometimes I just want something and other times I want something specific since I don’t wear false lashes. Due to this, I have a lot of mascaras in use and since they have a life of three months if I could get that down to mainly drugstore ones it would make life so much easier. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara but it’s expensive to repurchase every three months. Granted I wear mascara every single day.
The Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara is $4.99 with 12ml or 0.40 fl oz, which is the typical cost of most Essence mascaras (and they have 25 different mascaras in total which is insane!).

Thoughts
Unlike the Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara, this mascara I didn’t notice appearing clumpy on my eyes if I built up the lashes. Now in comparsion, I also don’t notice my lashes looking super full. Instead they look more wispy and separated, which is something I love on more natural or basic eye days. When I just want something on my lashes so they don’t look like they semi-blend into the eyeshadow (as you can kind of see below). Another thing I really noticed with this mascara is that my bottom lashes looked insanely long with this mascara, though I didn’t see the same effect on my upper lashes. So this did cause me to get some transfer onto my lower lash line while the mascara was still drying.
