Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara Review

Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl Hold Mascara

Since changing to be 100% cruelty free around 2 years ago, all of the mascara I’ve used since then has been mid-range. Probably since I was trying to replace the Benefit Roller Lash mascara and the drugstore ones just didn’t work for me. Then over and over I’ve heard from Tati’s videos that Essence mascara are the bomb dot com. But Essence has a lot of different mascaras, twenty four actively on their website. So I did get two different ones, I’m going to review them separately. The first we’re going to review is the Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara. This one is $4.99 with 0.4 fl oz of product.

Lash styling has never been so easy! Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl & Hold Mascara transfers the best hairstyling trends to your lashes. The special braided design of the cap has never been seen before. The creamy black texture provides a long-lasting volume effect plus an incredible curl that stays where it belongs thanks to the special micro styling waxes and the innovative paddle brush! Stand out with perfectly styled and curled lashes!

Since I got this mascara, every single day I’ve been reaching for this mascara over my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. Now the one negative about this mascara is that it can make your lashes look clumpy if you apply too much or don’t spread out the lashes enough. Below I applied the mascara on one side and left the other side bare so you can see the full work of what they took my lashes from and to.

Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Curl Hold Mascara with and without

The mascara gives my lashes a lot volume and curls my lashes without the need of a tool. As I never curl my lashes since they freak me out. And I totally see a difference using this mascara (granted I did bump my lower lash line if you can see them). Now I need to do a comparison to the Tarte mascara since I’m terrible at determining differences if I don’t apply them at the same time. But regardless of that, I like how this mascara applies on the eyes and reminds me a lot of what I loved from the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara before I switched to being cruelty free.

What’s your favorite drugstore mascara? Or which Essence mascara is your favorite since they have twenty-five?
