I struggled quite a bit with coming up with a name for this post. Basically I got a bunch of drugstore foundations and a few mid-range that I already had in my collection that all share the same shade name but from a bunch of different cruelty free brands just to see how similar they really are. I wore each of these foundations for a day regardless if they matched my skin tone so you can see how they differ. As well as some brief first impressions on each of the formulas but each of these foundations will have their own in depth review coming in the future. I’m comparing different shades I have named Alabaster, Ivory, and Porcelain; to just see exactly how similar or un-similar shades of the same name are to each other.
Not of all of the formulas are the same, meaning some are liquid while others are stick foundations. But we’re not comparing the formulas to determine which one is the best, rather just how the shades vary from each other though they have the same name. Not all of these formulas I’m a massive fan of and almost all of them were new foundations to me. Which is why you’re going to be seeing a lot of testing out foundation videos on YouTube from when I was testing each of these.
Alabaster Foundation Shades
For this shade name, I’m comparing Hourglass Vanish Foundation in Alabaster to the e.l.f. Cosmetics Flawless Finish Foundation SPF 15 in Alabaster.
Ivory Foundation Shades
I have a lot of foundations that all came in this shade name, including: Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Shell Ivory and Nude Ivory, BH Cosmetics Liquid Foundation Naturally Flawless in Ivory, and NYX Professional Makeup Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Ivory.
Porcelain Foundation Shades
I have a few porcelains that I’m tested out against each other. The foundations are: e.l.f. Cosmetics Flawless Finish Foundation SPF 15 in Porcelain, Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Porcelain and Flower Beauty Light Illusion Liquid Foundation in Porcelain.

I thought it would be fun, because I’ve never had the fairest shade of any foundation all be the same. So I thought it would be fun to compare them all.
