One thing I have been really wanting to do for a while is get back into reading. I used to use around one to two books a week, and now I’m lucky if I manage to read one every other month. And the main reason I just haven’t been reading besides not having as much time, is I just don’t know what to read. Normally I like to have a small stack of books on the ready to read, but lately I’ve been struggling to just find one I want to read. But I’ve been trying new things, and some of them have been really helping me with this task so I wanted to share them with you.
Now this isn’t sponsored but I am including my unique referral code as I really do recommend this! A few months ago I started to see Book Of the Month Club pop up into my Facebook feed as a sponsored advertisement. Normally I just scroll past them but this one really caught my eye, so I decided to check it out. Every month a panel of judges selects 5 new choices that you get to pick from on the first day of the month or choose to skip if you want to. All plans include 1 hardcover book with shipping/handling (Plans being 3 months for $14.99/month, 6 months for $13.99/month, or 12 months for $11.99/month). You can add additional books if you want any month for an additional $9.99 per book up to two additional books. I’ve only done two months so far and I’ve been loving the selection I’ve received so far. And will continue to do this in the future.
Little Free Library
These are available all around my neighborhood and I love them! You put in whatever books you have read and don’t want to keep anymore. And can take out any book you want to read yourself. It’s basically a book swap between your neighbors. One of my neighbors made a little reading area in front of theirs so you can take a seat by the lake and read to your heart’s content.
Read Someone’s Book List
Now as we don’t have a WHSmith near me, I’ve been reading through Zoella’s Book Club and have read a lot of really good books through there. Other good book clubs or reading lists are: Oprah’s Book Club, New York Times Best Sellers List, and Amazon’s Best Books of the Month. They suggest so many incredible reads, and even have them all broken down into specific categories so you can find exactly what you want.
