Halo Beauty has come out with their second product which is similar to the first only swap out two of the ingredients for three new ones. Now I held off on my review of the product considering last time I reviewed the Hair, Nail, and Skin Beauty Booster I didn’t notice any negative effects until my second bottle. So I decided to wait until I got through two bottles before posting my first review on this product. Now last time I think my issues were due to the ingredient saw palmeto as it seriously messed up my hormones and monthly cycle. Including changing my skin type from normal to insanely oily, and broke out all of the time. And my period just stopped being regular, and once I stopped taking those boosters everything went back to normal. So I was hesitant at first but considering it was most likely that one ingredient and it’s not in the Kiwi Seed Skin Booster, I thought I might as well try it as I do want to take something for my skin to make things nicer.
Unlike the first supplement, the second one only costs $29.95 and you only need to take one capsule a day. Whereas, the first cost more and you had to take 2 capsules a day. The Kiki Seed Skin Booster is said to help with the following: minimizes Fine Lines and Wrinkles; supports Collagen and Keratin Production; supports Clear and Radiant Complexion; supports a Natural Moisture Barrier for Firm, Hydrated, and Rejuvenated Skin; and inhibits Bacteria, Balances pH, and Renews Skin.
Disclaimer
I’m not on any medication so I’m not concerned about conflicts with some of the ingredients, same as the previous time I took the Hair, Nail, and Skin Beauty Booster. As I mentioned in my review of the other booster, one of the things that I’m really interested in about this product is that this product is supposed to improve skin smoothness. I have keratosis pilaris, which makes itself very noticeable on my arms and legs. Sugar scrubs and various acid lotions from the drugstores can help make the appearance minimize but overall there is nothing that helps. This is something that is incurable so I wasn’t expecting Halo Beauty to get rid of it. But if it helps lessen the appearance, that I’m all for. I just wanted to make that clear since that might makes some people think it does nothing when I have a skin condition that nothing can cure. Due to this and my previous experience, while I will take pictures of my arms every week I’m not expecting any serious change in the bumps that cover my upper arm.

Ingredient Overview
Now some of these are the same ingredients as the previous booster but just so it’s all in one place, I’m going to go in depth on what each ingredient in this supplement are supposed to do for you.
- Vitamin D3 (plant derived from Lichen): Our bodies produce Vitamin D as cholesterol and converts it into Vitamin D as sunshine is absorbed by the skin. With age (and avoiding the sun), the ability of the body to create healthy levels of Vitamin D declines, which is reflected in the deficiency found in a large part of the population. It is one of the ingredients to “looking great” and helps give the skin a healthy glow. Our Vitamin D3 is derived from Lichen that produces a pure and clean natural source of vegan Vitamin D3 that’s free from contaminants.
- B1, B2, & B6 vitamins: B vitamins are essential for great skin and help with energy metabolism and the B complex helps to make the skin glow, and fights free radicals which are one of the main causes of aging and age related conditions
- Vitamin B1: Also known as Thiamine, is excellent for skin and is an anchor vitamin for the other B vitamins to support synergistic results.
- Vitamin B2: Also known as Riboflavin, is an antioxidant, this vitamin scavenges for free radicals and plays an important role in the formation and maintenance of collagen which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Vitamin B6: Plays an important role in a variety of enzymatic reactions in the body. It is required by the body for the development of red blood cells, cell production and protein metabolism, which assists with the growth and repair of the skin cells. Numerous studies indicate that this vitamin is required to minimize risk of unwanted inflammation in the body. Vitamin D3 (plant derived from Lichen)
- Zinc: Zinc is a key mineral that is great for skin as it lessens the formation of damaging free radicals and protects skin’s lipids and fibroblasts, which are the cells that make collagen. Zinc boosts immune function and may help control that inflammatory response when skin is exposed to UV light and pollution. Since Zinc regulates cell production and turnover, and can help reduce the amount of natural oil your skin produces, it may help prevent pores from clogging and help to prevent acne.
- Rosehip: Studies show improvement of aging-induced skin conditions. Rosehip is rich in Vitamin C and other nutrients such as beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin. These vitamins help support the skin (and even the eyes). For the skin, it has been known to help correct the dark circles under the eyes and aid in maintaining the hydration barrier of the skin while exerting protective effects from light induced skin damage.
- Bromelain extract: Bromelain is an extract derived from the stem, fruit, and juice of Pineapple. It has a long history of safe and effective use for a variety of ailments and has been used to help combat skin inflammation.
- Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM): MSM is an organic sulfur found in our bodies and sometimes described as a “beauty mineral” or “nature’s collagen supplement”. It works with Vitamin C as a great collaborator to build new healthy tissues and to normalize collagen formation while improving overall skin health. MSM is needed by the body to form collagen and keratin to keep the skin appearing youthful.
- Emblica Officianalis (Amla): Also known as Indian Gooseberry, it is honored for its anti-aging capabilities and rich spectrum of phytonutrients. The antioxidant properties of Amla, provides a powerful defense against oxidation of skin cells. It has been traditionally used for improvement in complexion, moisturizing the skin, cleansing the tissues of toxins, and supports immunity of the skin against acne.
- Grape Seed Extract: Contains several plant compounds, mainly powerful antioxidants. According to the Food Research Center in Guelph, Canada, the antioxidants in grape seed extract offer 20 times more antioxidant power than vitamin E. The use of Grape seed extract is to protect the skin from sun exposure and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
- Quercetin: Quercetin is a flavanoid (plant pigment) found in leafy greens, berries, tomatoes, and broccoli. It’s another powerful free radical fighter that also exhibits a great synergy together with bromelain. It helps protect cells from damage done by oxidation or unstable molecules formed during cell metabolism.
- Ceramide-Rx™: Halo Beauty’s proprietary and clinically proven Ceramide-Rx™ is a phytoceramide extracted from rice. Phytoceramides are lipids that keep your skin hydrated and plump. Ceramide-Rx™ has been proven in human clinical double blind trials to restore and rebuild the outer skin layer, increasing the skins ability to retain moisture while improving skin smoothness in as little as 3 weeks. It also results in an improved barrier for toxins and other harmful substances from entering the body. Ceramide-Rx™ may reduce the appearance of large pores and fine lines. Clinical human studies results demonstrate Ceramide-Rx™:
- INCREASES Skin Hydration
- REDUCES Itchiness & Redness
- MINIMIZES Small Lines & Wrinkles
- PROMOTES Skin Smoothness
- FIGHTS Signs of Aging Visibly and from Within
- Kiwi-Rx™: Kiwi-Rx is derived as a 50:1 Kiwi seed extract. The extract process uses 50 parts of material for every 1 part of extract produced from kiwi fruit. The extract has been shown to help balance sebum hyper-production which is associated with acne and clinically proven to reduce associated inflammation. It is also shown to normalize pH to the ideal range, leaving the skin balanced and clear.
- Astaxanthin: One of the most powerful antioxidants available and is derived from algae. It is a powerhouse to help support the reduction of fine lines and increased skin moisture and improved skin tone and elasticity. It has been shown to help smooth the skin surface, diminish freckles, and reduce under-eye puffiness with use. Astaxanthin is beginning to emerge as one of the game changers in the world of high-performance natural skincare. Astaxanthin has been shown in clinical studies to increase skin moisture, moisture retention, elasticity, as well as promote skin smoothness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles.

So here’s how my skin looked on day one before this journey began. Now unlike before when I made a video for the entire process. I’m just going to do photos every single week during this journey so a total of around ten photos when this is all done. Like the first time I tested a booster from Halo Beauty, I’m going to be writing this as I go along in the process. Thus giving you a little diary of everything I experienced.

I didn’t notice any specific differences in my skin after the first week. Maybe a little less under eye bangs but the rest is just about the same. As for other changes, I experienced the same thing that I did the Hair, Skin, and Nails Beauty Boosters… that being my pee started being a bright neon color and continued being that color going forward. Which is probably just the vitamins that my body didn’t need on any given day. It’s not every day but most days. A little TMI but still something I noticed.

During the second week, my time of month occurred and just happened to be four days earlier. Which is a bit odd for me as normally it’s on a very tight schedule. Not stating it’s due to the pills but I’ll find out next month for sure as that’s what happened with the Hair, Skin, and Nail Beauty Booster. Only that one made my body act like it was always coming next day but never actually coming. Which is why I’m holding off for the 60 day update to see if it for sure is the same case of these messing with my cycle.

I noticed that even though the weather dramatically changed from hot and humid every day to cold all of the time. I would’ve expected my skin would go dry and act out, but I didn’t notice that with this change. My lips normally are always chapped, but I haven’t noticed that issue at all. Especially with wearing liquid lipstick almost every single day. As for the bumps on my arms from my skin condition, I don’t notice that they are as severe. The redness and uneven texture is still there but it’s more minimal than it was in weeks past.
Overall, everything feels soft and not looking dry. This is what I noticed with the other supplements but in the past things started to change on the fourth/fifth week. So that’s where I’m still skeptical. Also I don’t notice anything different with my hair or nails though I do see more growth in them on the supplement then when I wasn’t. But as the ingredients suggest there are some that were included in the other supplement, so there’s still some overlap so you get some of those elements. It’s just not a heavy focus on them.
The final week of the first bottle I had break outs under my mouth and my hands felt beyond dry. And I’m starting to get flashbacks of the Hair, Skin, and Nails. Second the final bottle was over, my skin drastically changed and I did not finish the second bottle on that one as I couldn’t stand how my skin was acting. This time I’m going to force myself to finish the second bottle to see if it’s just a weird change that I should’ve just pushed through with the first supplement. Or it’s seriously an issue with my body handling one of the ingredients (I’m not sure which one as I thought it was biotin or saw palmeto with the previous one). But at this point, I disagree with the claims of pores not being clogged as my skin looks clogged up and oily. Even when I went two weeks at this point not wearing any makeup other than eyeshadow. So it’s not like it was a primer, foundation, or concealer causing this issue. And I even got acne on my neck, which I never ever get! And yet there was a massive, painful whitehead. Could be unrelated but I highly doubt that.
Week five of this booster/supplement, was my period. And as I’ve mentioned a few times the last one I tried from Halo Beauty majority effected that to the point where I had all of the symptoms but no period. And that continued for weeks even after I quit taking them until it finally balanced back out. So I was nervous to say the least especially with my skin acting weird the week before like it did the previous time. However, my period actually came like usual. Nothing unusual about it. So I’ll forgive the acne from the week before even though it was worse than ever before and way more painful. My skin has also stopped feeling oily after the onset of my period. So I’m not sure what to think at this point. I’m very tempted to turn this experiment into a 3 bottle one instead of just 2 and see if the week prior to my period is the same. If it is, then I can’t say I honestly like that. As those white heads were bloody painful and I felt gross every day.

I forgot to take a picture for week five so here’s one from like the middle of week six. Which is more like week seven as I was terrible at remembering to take the supplement. I also started having sugar again during that time span and I’m trying to get myself back off it as I did notice a big difference in my weight and skin after one bad week of sugar. But I don’t think my skin is as bad as it’s been previously. The acne is gone within a day of it appearing on my face and with the weather becoming more like winter my skin isn’t dry out. So I’m a little on the fence. Considering my acne has been coming in more since starting Halo Kiwi, but it doesn’t stick around forever. But unlike before, I can feel acne now on my face and it hurts unless I pop it. I know you’re not supposed to but it’s the only thing mid-day that makes it feel better.

Honestly, I didn’t have anything much to saw about the next few weeks. nothing really changed. Still had some acne, several dry patches on my face near my nose, and overall skin looked the same. So final verdict, I think I’ve just reached a conclusion that has nothing to do with Halo Beauty. I don’t believe supplements are for me. I don’t notice any difference with them for me. If anything I just notice every little thing that changes negatively. Some people have amazing results with these supplements, I see roughly no difference in my skin. Maybe my pores being more clogged up and acne-prone on Halo Beauty. But ultimately, I think this is the last time I try out supplements. If Halo Beauty comes out with any more supplements, I won’t be trying them. But if they go into color cosmetics like Tati has mentioned, that I will try those products out to see how that goes.
