Since the snow has fallen in Minnesota, it’s winter! So it’s time to put away the light shades and start putting on the reds, wines, and dark orange lipsticks. I wear these colors every single day once the leaves start falling but felt it was time to write a post about the shades I’ve been loving. And this in no way is all the shades I wear during the season, but some of my favorites.
Absolute New York Matte Stick – Dark Red ($6): I got this in the November Ipsy Glambag and I have been loving it. It’s the perfect classic red. Yes it’s called Dark Red but I think it’s more of a classic red to be honest. This shade is so comfortable on the lips that it makes it perfect in the winter when you need moisture.
Wet N Wild – Cherry Bomb # 918D ($3.90): This one I have had for a while and is a very deep red, almost berry colored. I love that these lipsticks are so cheap, but last and feels like my higher end lipsticks.And I have many other Wet N Wild lipsticks that are great for winter as well! It’s just the perfect lipstick to throw into my handbag and if I misplace it somehow it’s not so expensive that I freak out about having to get a new one.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick – Gash ($17): I just got the stockpile a week ago and there are several shades that came in there were perfect winter shades. But I absolutely LOVE the shade Gash, which is a deep red with a tonal shift. I can see this shade being perfect for holiday parties. Plus this shade is very creamy, which is perfect for the winter months.
