To start off the 100 Days of Makeup Challenge on Instagram, I wanted to start with Harry Potter inspired looks based off each of the houses. Some of the looks are rather subdued for every day looks well others are over the top and dramatic. I love the Harry Potter series/world, and my roommate recently got me a set of bracelets that were Harry Potter inspired that gave me the idea to start with these looks.
This is my house at Hogwarts, and thus the only house I have accessories for. I am wearing my Ravenclaw tie in the photos though you can’t really see the crest as I wanted the photos to be close ups of the makeup. Which is an everyday look with a silver blue on the lid and a bronze color in the crease, all the shades were from various NYX Avant Pop palettes. I did pair the look with a metallic bronze liquid lipstick from Milani.
Now since I dyed my hair red, I didn’t think it would go well with Slytherin Green. I thought it would play off more like Christmas, so I grabbed my grey wig with black roots to pair off with this Halo eye and green lips. For the eyeshadows this are NYX Avant Pop palettes, and my lips are Jeffree Star velour liquid lipstick in Crocodile Tears with Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic palette‘s shade Emerald. I also just used some black eyeliner to make my brows black so they didn’t look out of place.
I don’t have any Hufflepuff accessories, but I do have one of my favorite shirts that I got off of SheIn that is mustard and black that totally go with the color theme of Hufflepuff. So I just had to go with this makeup look with ColourPop eyeshadows that I hauled the other day with a black eyeshadow from NYX. I also paired this with NYX Liquid Suede in Alien for my lips. I was originally going to do Queen Bee from Jeffree Star but it just didn’t look right.
For this house, I really wanted to channel the lion from the house crest and give myself a golden liner that drags down on the inner corner to create a cat look. All products I used for the eyes were from NYX. Eyeshadows are from the NYX Ultimate bright shadow palette and the liner is called gold karat 24. For my lips I’m wearing Designer’s Blood from Jeffree Star Cosmetics.
Which house do you belong to?
