One of my favorite mobile games that has come out is Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery, but like most mobile games you are limited to what you can do by time and energy. It’s my least favorite part of any mobile game but Hogwarts Mystery has selected areas around the castle where you can regain some energy to keep going. These spawn or refill every six hours. So you can’t go to them all of the time to regain energy, but it’s at least there every six hours to gain you some more energy.
So here are the locations to get those extra energy when those spots are respawned. Just as note, there are more locations being added so I’ll make sure to come back to this post and update the list, but as of November 2020 in Year Six here are all of the locations:
East Towers
The first blank portrait- occupied by a girl when claimed. The second is Peeves, the colorful poltergeist that hangs out by the ladder to the Divination classroom. Peeves disappears when energy is claimed.
West Towers
The second portrait (to the right of the Gryffindor Common Room). Oranges appear when energy is claimed, and are not in picture when energy is available again.
Lower Floor – West
Tap the pillar on the right of Great Hall entrance. Flame appears when energy is claimed, disappears when every is available. The second location on this floor is the middle knight to the right of the Great Hall. He switches his sword with the knight on his left for a shield. He will hold the shield when energy has been claimed. He will be holding the sword again when energy has become available.
Dungeons
The House Elf by the entrance of the kitchen. He will run away into the entrance. He will reappear when energy is available.
Castle Grounds
Tap the stick on the ground. Fang will arrive to retrieve it. The stick will be gone once energy is claimed and reappear when energy is available again.
Lower Floor – East
This location unlocks during the 2nd year.
Tap the scattered books on the bench. Books will organize themselves into a pile when energy is claimed. They will be askew again when energy is available.
Hogsmeade
This location unlocks during the 3rd year.
Tap on the person at the very back of the first alley. He will bobsled down the alley and no one will be at the top of the alley when energy has been claimed. He will reappear when energy is available again.
Forbidden Forest
This location unlocks during the 4th year.
Tap the cobweb when there is a spider in the web, the web will shake and the spider will disappear. Once the spider returns to the web you can gain energy again from this location.
Pets
The last location to get energy is if you have pets. These can be purchased with diamonds and are kept in your dormitory. Though you can have one come along with you on your adventures. If you see your pet fall asleep and tap on them to you will get a bolt of energy. You can have up to 4 pets and tap them for energy about 3-4 times a day.
Magical Creatures Reserve
There is a wolf pup that appears outside of the forest, if you tap on the little guy you’ll get some energy.
Diagon Alley
This area becomes available during your fifth year. And outside of Gringotts you will find a money bag, if you click on it then a Niffler appears and you get some energy in return.
Quidditch Stadium
This area becomes available in year two chapter six. You can get one energy point by tapping on the Golden Snitch whenever is flying around the stadium.
Black Lake
Black Lake becomes available using Year Six Chapter Fifteen. The energy that is available is when you see the tentacle appear from the Giant Squid that lives in the lake.
Dragon Sanctuary
This area recently was added as a side quest during the sixth year. Normally these side quest areas are removed once the timed side quest is over, but the Dragon Sanctuary is sticking around from the looks of it. And there is energy to be collected here on the far right. The dragon that appears above the Norwegian Ridgeback Nest can be tapped for energy.
Clubhouses
Starting in Year 2, three clubhouses (Hippogriff, Dragon, and Sphinx) become available each of them are accessible to users and have a portrait that can tapped on for energy/rewards. They are visible right away when entering the area.
Know of any other locations that I may have missed, let us know in the comments and I’ll add it to the list!
