I’ve been looking up a lot of ways to style an apartment balcony since within the next few months I’ll be headed to one of my own. Most apartments have one which is a small little space, but I want to make it as charming as possible. I also live in Minnesota so I don’t want to have too much on a balcony where issues would happen. And I can’t wait to transform that space into some magical, but before I do that here are just a few ideas of how to create an amazing balcony space for your apartment.
Some things that are a must to spice up your balcony are the following: plants, benches, rocking chairs, end tables, and fairy lights. Balconies are wonderful places to kick back and relax after a long day to enjoy some fresh air. Or perhaps to curl up with a good book and a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate.
Of course, you might not have a lot of space for small sofa as often apartment balconies are rather tight spaces. So the use of crates with cushions on top can be used instead. Even if your balcony is too small to do much with, you can still open the doors and let the outdoors in, so that your whole room essentially becomes an outdoor space.
Another thing, you can do is place some inexpensive flooring down. This will really make the apartment balcony feel more like your own private space. Sometimes these balconies might not offer a lot for privacy from your neighbors. So you could install some temporary piracy panels. This will make the area more welcoming and allow you to enjoy some outdoor time without worrying about being watched. I, for one, enjoy some piracy. And plan to add some of these elements into my own place once I get one.
What are some ways you would spruce up a small apartment balcony? I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
