My sister surprised me for Valentine’s Day and got me the BH Cosmetics Zodiac Love Signs Palette, which is a follow up to a palette they released over a year ago. And I loved the original palette, it has 24 eyeshadows (12 baked shimmers and 12 buttery mattes) and one highlighter in the center. The same story for eyeshadow layouts can be said about the Zodiac Love Signs Palette. Same with it’s massive size that doesn’t make it travel friendly. The Love Signs is supposed to be “a celestial spectrum of sun-kissed hues and cool cosmic shades.” I wore the Zodiac Palette all winter long last year so I wanted to see if the Love Signs palette would live up to the original.
BH Cosmetics Zodiac Love Signs Eyeshadow & Highligher palette costs $27. Considering there are three different sizes in the palette, I didn’t calculate it by each type since I would need to destroy the palette to get correct measurements. And I don’t want to ruin it especially considering the baked shimmers, destroying those and trying to put them back together again just wouldn’t work.
I found this palette super easy to use and the shimmers are incredible, I did not have to wet my brush for them to pop or appear. Sometimes you have to do that in order for them to give that pop. Which isn’t that hard but it’s amazing when you don’t have to deal with that especially if you want to apply the shadows with a brush. Typically I use my fingers to apply these types of shadows, but I didn’t have to do that with this palette. And the mattes are incredible. I didn’t notice that much fall out or kick back in the pan.
Which is the exact same way I felt about the original Zodiac Palette. I love the color combination and how every matte has a matching metallic shade in the Love Signs Palette. The original palette did not have them match up instead had purples in the matte finishes and blues in the metallic finishes. So I like that a lot more since it makes creating every day looks super easy. There are a few differences of course, but more or less are the same.
Below are the swatches of the palette, on the left is the outer ring and the middle highlight. On the right, is the inner ring which is the matte shades.
So would I recommend this palette? Yes I would. I freaking love it, plus it’s not that much for the number of shadows you get.
