Now initially when I did my review of the ColourPop x Becky G Salvaje Palette I did not think it was that similar to anything in my collection until Cleia pointed it out if you exclude the teal shades. So I wanted to do a little comparison and determine just how similar the two palettes are. I’m just going to be doing swatch comparisons of shades that seem similar to do the comparison. Of course they aren’t exact dupes as there are several shade differences between the palettes like Salvaje having teal tones and Soft Glam has a black shadow.

To start with I compared Luna from the Salvaje Palette with Tempera from the Soft Glam Palette. Tempera is slightly more warm toned than Luna, but overall really similar.

Next we have Cafecito from Salvaje and Cyrus Umber from Soft Glam. Cyrus Umber is way deeper and more cool toned compared to Cafecito. So I would not say these are similar enough.

Next I compared Estrella from Salvaje with both Glistening and Fairy from Soft Glam. They are not in the same field at all. Estrella is more of a champagne while the ones from Soft Glam are more golden in tone. So I would not say these are similar enough.

Next I’m comparing Celosa and Patrona from Salvaje palette with Sultry and Rose Pink from Soft Glam. The only similarity I’m seeing between any of these shades is Celosa and Patrona with slight undertone differences. But ColourPop to Soft Glam, I’m not seeing a try dupe between the palettes in this shade range.

Alright next is a comparison with ColourPop’s Lola with Burnt Orange and Orange Soda from Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Soft Glam Palette. If you mixed Burnt Orange and Orange Soda you might get Lola but ultimately they aren’t the same.

Next is the shade Caramelo from ColourPop and Rustic from Soft Glam. Caramelo is cool toned while Caramelo is warm toned. Which can look similar on the eyes but aren’t exact dupes of each other.

Now onto Corona from Salvaje by ColourPop and Bronze from Soft Glam palette. Like the previous comparison, Corona is warm tone while Bronze is cool tone so close… really, really close but still not exact.

And now the very last comparison. We have Malbec from ColourPop and Mulberry from Soft Glam. Mulberry is way deeper and cool toned compared to Malbec. I was going to add Sangria in this group but it was just so much more red that it was not close at all to even join this grouping.

So tone wise overall ColourPop x Becky G Salvaje palette is warm toned compared to Soft Glam’s cool tone shades in comparison. Though those can read warm toned if they are not directly next to Salvaje palette. In the pan they do look very similar so I can see where the comparison came from. But putting them next to them, they aren’t exact dupes when you take out the teals or the black shadow.

Ooh thanks for doing this comparison! I’m glad that so many shades are different, just from looking at the Salvaje palette online it seemed similar to me but I guess I was wrong. Now I might need to put Salvaje back on my wishlist 😄

When you said that I was so confused and just had to compare them against each other to figure out if they were actually dupes. As you stated they do look very similar at first glance.

I think you can probably get similar looks with them, but clearly not the exact same! And completely different formulas too 😄

Yes, they feel completely different.
