January 2017 Favorites

This month is going to have a lot of items as I've finally gotten time to try out a bunch of products that I got during the Christmas season. So on my YouTube channel, I'm just doing a love and loathe of beauty products (they'll still be listed here). And a more in depth on other items in this post.

Lifestyle

I've been really into crafts this month, and you can probably guess which two crafts are making it into my favorites this month as I'm so happy with how they turned out. Shrinky Dink Pins which I believe I have made around thirty of at this point. And will probably be making a bunch more. I don't know why I need this month but I'm obsessed with making them. And then faux succulents made out of polymer clay. I also made pinch pots out of polymer clay to put them in and have in my office. Onto non-craft related items… I'm including a new discovery for Pixie as she has a very sensitive stomach as I believe I've mentioned before. She cannot have people food and she for sure cannot have anything with rice or I'm cleaning up messes for ages. But I found a new dental chew that she definitely needs, which is Whimzee Alligator Dog Treats. These are vegetarian and gluten free, plus they keep her busy for a good ten to twenty minutes. I've also been using my Amazon Echo Dot a lot and still getting used to it. So far I've only gone to the extent of playing music, setting an alarm, and asking about the weather, but I can see getting the smart outlets so I can control other things around the house. I would also get the lights but those are a little out of my price range at this time.

Music

I have quite a few songs that I've been playing on repeat this month. Those being: Ex's and Oh's Cover by Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, Mercy by Shawn Mendes, Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran, the entire Undertale Soundtrack, and Paris by The Chainsmokers.

TV Shows

I don't really watch a lot of television, but I do watch a lot of shows on Netflix. So two of these are things I have been watching on Netflix: Series of Unfortunate Events and Ruby Gloom. I also really enjoyed the documentary series from Leah Remini on Scientology: The Aftermath. I don't know why but it was really addicting to watch. Probably because I never really knew anything about scientology other than it was a cult religion.

Video Game

This month I've been playing a lot of these three games: Astroneer, Dragon Age Inquisition, and The Sims 4. Two of them are for my gaming channel but they are my favorite games in the world. Astroneer is a new game I discovered on Steam and I love the visuals of the pre-alpha game. It is absolutely gorgeous though my graphics card can barely handle the game, which isn't the game's fault but that of my aging computer. I really need to save up to get a new one that's better for gaming and editing videos. Dragon Age: Inquisition I have been playing both for my gaming channel and then on my own as well. For the gaming channel I'm playing as a human rogue, while in my new personal game I'm playing as a qunari mage. I decided to play the game twice because I've never played as a qunari and I wanted to see what it was like. As for The Sims 4, I'm playing two different series for my gaming channel. One called City of Love and the other is the 100 Baby challenge which is literally my living nightmare at this point. I don't know if I'm honestly going to complete it without going insane. As for why this came into my favorites this month is because they released both Toddlers and Vampires! Two things I have seriously missed in the game. Still waiting on the other supernatural creatures from the Sims 3 and pets, but hey I've missed these two things a lot so I'm soooo excited they are back! However, I don't know how many more expansions they are going to release in the future as typically they release a new base game every 5 years so I have a feeling Sims 5 is coming really soon.
