Life Lately | November 2018

Another month down and one left in 2018. This month has been as packed as the rest this fall and going into the winter my schedule is about to get worse. I don’t think starting next year I will be doing these life lately posts anymore. And the number of blog posts I put out are going to be a lot less at least for the first two months while I’m doing a major project for work.

I went to two hockey games in November, the first being the women’s Minnesota Gopher game where they won and the second being the Minnesota Wild game. I used to play hockey when I was growing up so it was a lot of fun going to the games. It’s one of the few sports that I enjoy watching the other being football. Going to the Wild game caused a major issue with my sister as my mom was given two free tickets and flipped a coin over which one of us could go. I won the coin toss and my sister got royally pissed off… and didn’t talk to me for a few days.

My family went to Mall of America as well, and I stocked up on Lush products as I haven’t had any for quite some time. Mainly as the only Lush store near me is the one my ex-roommate/best-friend works at. And though I’m past what happened to us, I still don’t want to run into her so I haven’t gotten anything from there in ages though I love their bath bombs. So yes, I stocked up to last me like a year. I even got a new one from their holiday collection, so I might do a post on that in December but I haven’t fully decided yet on if I’m going to do that. But other than that haul I haven’t since my Juvia’s Place massive haul gotten a lot of things. Which I was proud of myself for not going overboard, though I did also pick up the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Sugar Palette. But considering it was only one item I’m still counting it as a win.

Then for Thanksgiving I went to my aunt’s house where I got to see my cousin’s daughters who are hilarious. But a lot of energy, I mean ones four and the other is two. One of my favorite things is to watch football with the guys, but that didn’t really happen after dinner. Which is fine. It was funny to see the two little girls chasing each other around the dining table. And all of their other little things they do. It was cute. And I won’t get to see them next year at Thanksgiving, as they only come every other year. Plus we got to enjoy some good food.

Something I’ve been curious about for a few years now is the development and creation of different makeup products. I’ve been doing a ton of research on this topic and jokingly put down on my bucket list that some day I would have my own brand. And honestly I have the shades already selected that I would want in the first few palettes, along with their names and packaging design. So recently I’ve been looking into well how do I make this a reality. Maybe not to sell as my perfectionist side would never allow something I wasn’t 100% happy with out into the world. But a test palette with the concept would be fun. At least to see if I could do it. So that’s my goal. I’m going to make myself an eyeshadow palette from scratch. Though honestly this would be more classified as a pressed pigment palette. Still I’m really excited to work on this project. I’ll keep you guys updated on how it goes and maybe who knows what will happen in the future with it. I most likely won’t start that project until after the work project is done.
