It’s been a month since I posted my Magical Readathon 2020: O.W.L.s. TBR. And during that time period, I did manage to complete it! However, some of of my selections changed. Unfortunately, as I didn’t learn about this readathon until it was done, so I could not submit my reading for the official house competition. However, I did still enjoy this readathon, and it sparked my desire to read again. As I was in a bit of a reading slump before that.
If you want more information regarding the Magical Readathon even though the O.W.L.s. are now over, you can watch the video here and go to their official page here.

Completed Reading
🦉Charms: White Cover
I ended up reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld for this class instead of the entirety of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin just to get to the book with a white cover. I will eventually get to reading that series but I had to cut it out of this readathon as I ended up needing some time for studying for a Microsoft certification for work. I completely forgot that this series started off with a different romance, switched then went back to the original until I read this book. Or how Tally completely screwed over her friend in more ways than one.
🦉Defence Against the Dark Arts: Book Set at the Sea/Coast
I picked The Last Song by Nicholas Spark as it takes place in Wrightsville Beach, a small beach town in Georgia. And I did end up reading this for this class. While I’m not a romance book reader, I did enjoy this book as there was a variety of other things happening. It also reminded me how in the movie, a lot was cut out.
🦉Herbology: Title Starts With an I
For this class I had picked Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke. I only ended up reading the first two books in this series, and will need to read finish reading Inkdeath another time.
🦉Potions: Book Under 150 Pages
I read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll as both were under 150 pages.
🦉Transfiguration: Book/Series that includes Shapeshifting
I read entire Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare for this one as Tessa Gray is a shapeshifter, and it’s one of the main features in this series. I was going to read Chain of Gold as well for this section, but did not get to it by the end of the readathon.
So, there were all my O.W.L.s. I will be joining the N.E.W.T. readathon later this year when it starts. As for what I’m reading next, I’m going to tackle all of my new books starting with Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare then moving onto the books I got from my friends and family for my birthday. As I complete them, I’ll make posts about them (most likely).
