As a way of looking back at 2021, I decided I would kick off the year by doing a body painting that’s a combination of some of my most “loved” looks that I did in 2021. There are a total of nine different looks that went into this: deershroom, elf, split lips, butterfly skull, Captain Marvel, Howl Pendragon from Howl’s Moving Castle, Ursula, Cracked Stone Statue, and Ice Cream. I was a little nervous about how this was going to turn out. I wasn’t exactly going off of a reference short of looking at the body paints that I did for each of these looks. But not one with all of them combined, if you don’t know I can’t visualize things in my head. I don’t think in pictures, so sometimes that makes things interesting when I paint, draw, or do body art. So, while I knew what I was combining, I didn’t know what it would look like. So, I was surprised, to say the least with how much I loved the way this turned out.

Can’t wait to see where 2022 takes us. I have plans on playing a lot of games that I never got a chance to play in the past and exploring more body painting. I don’t have a reading goal for 2022, because I have a feeling it will either be impossible to reach or I will blow it out of the park as has happened the last few months I make a reading goal for myself. Other than that, I also plan on finishing my novel. At least write the first draft and go through a revision period before attempting to get an editor and agent to get it published someday. It’s a goal I’ve always wanted to do, so this year I’m going to try to make it a thing.
What are your goals for 2022? Or what would you love to see this year?
