Morphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette Review & Swatches

Morphe 35M Boss Mood 4Morphe 35M Boss Mood 5

Morphe has a large collection of palettes and after getting the Vault collection, I told myself I wasn’t going to be picking up any new ones any time soon since I pretty much have the full range of collections with the other Morphe palettes in my collection. But after seeing the Morphe 35M Boss Mood Artistry Palette, I wanted this one as well as it has a unique color range of green, reds, and plum tones. And you don’t see those a lot of the time being released so I wanted to get my hands on this palette for some interesting variety in my makeup. I love green because it’s the color of my birth stone, though it’s not my favorite color… black or red will always hold that spot.

Anyways I picked up this palette from Ulta for $24 and contains 1.98 oz of product in total. Breaking it out there are 35 shades in the palette so each pan roughly has 0.06 oz of product and costs $0.68 each. You get a mixture of metallic and matte shades in the Boss Mood palette. So it’s a good deal overall which is why I do like the Morphe palettes. However, a lot of them have insanely similar shades often with subtle differences so that’s why I don’t collect all of their palettes. But this palette you don’t have those subtle differences, which is even more reason why I wanted to get this palette out of all of their more recent releases. Plus I can use this one in pair with Dark Magic palette from the Vault collection to create more looks. Since the colors go together nicely especially with the green shades.

Shade Descriptions:

Unlike some of the older palettes I have where technically there are shade names, my palettes never had those names indicated anywhere on the packaging. In this one you do get a plastic sheet that sits on top of the shadows that includes their names. And with the slight upper lid lip, you can place the sheet up there and be able to reference what shade you are using for the sake of a video. But an average person I don’t think would need that, so it’s easy enough to dispose of.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I like the palette especially as I mentioned earlier I can mix it in with other palettes that I have with Morphe. But also it’s just a great fall palette. Some of the mattes when swatched are patchy but when applied with a blending brush or a fluffy brush they don’t appear patchy on the lid. The metallics are also insanely buttery and don’t need a wet brush to get that amazing pigmentation. However, I do prefer applying these shadows with my fingers to get the biggest punch out of them but it’s not needed. The thought of a green and plum type palette initially made me think it was going to be like two palettes sandwiched together that really didn’t go together. But both sides of the green and plum work wonderfully together. Yes I showed an all green look earlier, but I was living my best life with that look including the super green lips. Don’t @ me. I loved it! And I have played with more colors than just those, it just happened to be the only one I took photos of. The others I wore during the work week while I was also wearing glasses so it wasn’t the best conditions to take photos of a look.

What do you think of the Morphe 35M Boss Mood palette? Or Morphe palettes in general? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Love ya,

100% agree with you. And normally I’m not a green lipstick person either but I was really feeling it for this one.

Love the look you made using the green shadows in the palette ! I bought this a few weeks ago and I’m finally going to play in it for the first time today. The colors are so beautiful every time I opened the palette I didn’t wanna ruin how gorgeous it looked in the pans haha. http://www.imaninikkol.com
