This last weekend I babysat my cousins two daughters. Now I didn’t spend any of my teenage years babysitting like most people. There were no kids in my neighborhood, all my cousins may be older but they were in college, and my mom’s friends didn’t have kids. So there was no one to babysit and back then there wasn’t an online site to offer your services. Now I took the course back then but I just never did anything with that certificate. So babysitting is a bit new to me. I’ve babysat one of girls before when she was one and a half… but never two. So this past weekend was a first. One of them is three and a half & the other is one and a few months. It was a lot of fun but my goodness are they a handful especially at bedtime. One had a cold and was teething so she was not happy about bed time, while the other was missing her parents and couldn’t sleep with her sister crying in the other room. Luckily, we managed to get them to fall asleep.

Pixie has not been the greatest when it comes to walks lately. Not sure if it’s left over from the Fourth of July since people still randomly set off fireworks or if it’s due to the heat. She just goes to hide when we ask if she wants to go. But the second we get her on the walk and out the door, she’s excited… but will keep trying to make the walk shorter since she knows where all the shortcuts in the neighborhood are to turn around. However, if we encourage her to keep going she won’t protest. The only time she honestly protests is if Winnie or someone else is in front of her on the walk. Pixie does not follow, Pixie is the leader of any and all walks.

I’m spending most of time after work and on break to find an apartment. And my god is it insanely hard to find a place. Either they want the worlds best credit, are too good to be true, claim to be dog friendly but aren’t, or way over priced. It’s driving me crazy! I need to find a place but everything is just stacked against me. If only I had escaped my ex-roommate situation sooner when the lease was up the first time, so I wouldn’t have spent the last year bankrupting myself to try making a toxic relationship work. I should’ve just left instead of sticking around when she begged me to. It would’ve been better for both of us, but no I stayed like an idiot.

Weekly Obsessions/Discoveries:

  • Mobile Games: Hogwarts Mystery (Year Four, dueling club was just released so that’s been fun trying to figure out).
  • Video Games: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Not a new game, but I just got back into playing the game so I’ve been playing it quite a bit this week.
