This is going to be a new series here on the blog where I share what I’ve been enjoying the past week. From books I’ve been reading, new blogs I’ve discovered, music I’ve been listening to, or new YouTube channels that I have started watching… and more. I plan on doing these every Saturday.
WHAT I’VE BEEN READING:
I’ve been reading The Mortal Instrument Series again for the third or fourth time. After this time through I’m going to read The Dark Artifices which is the sequel series that follows the LA crew from the Shadowhunter Realm. I have already read Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy which I did enjoy, but probably won’t read that one a second time through. Maybe parts of it.
MUSIC I HAVE ON REPEAT:
- Currently I have Linkin Park music on repeat when I’m driving or working as their music always helps me get through any stress or negative mood… which work is super stressful at the moment.
- Our Last Night is a new band I discovered on YouTube recently and I have been obsessed with their cover of Silence from Khalid and Marshmallow. I’ve been listening to our songs of theirs as well but that one at the moment is stuck in my head.
- As I’ve been getting away from watching makeup gurus and gamers on YouTube at the moment, I’ve gone more towards watching/listening to music channels. Other than Our Last Night, a few others I’ve been enjoying include: First to Eleven, Against the Current, Jared Halley especially his Linkin Park Medley, Mathias Fritsche, and Jonathan Young.
GAMES I’VE BEEN PLAYING:
I haven’t played a lot of video games lately but when I’m not reading or writing a story of my own (most likely won’t try to get it published), I’ve been enjoying a bit of The Sims 4: Island Living. It’s the newest expansion pack that they have released, which I don’t think is the best expansion they have come out with to date but it’s still fun. If you want to see how I would rank it against other Sims 4 packs, check out this post.
Otherwise, I’ve been on Hogwarts Mystery. This weekend they are doing an event called First Date, where your character gets to ask out their crush. I’m still on the first of four parts for this but looks like the rewards are a new outfit, makeup, and facial hair. The fifth year is almost done with one chapter left that I’m waiting on its release, after I’ll have my usual year overview post that I’ve been working on since the start of that year’s release… which was several months ago at this point.
GOT ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? OR WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN INTO LATELY?
Love ya,
Mae Polzine
