Happy Saturday everyone!
Hope everyone’s week was nice, I spent the week moving into my new apartment. I prepped this in advanced so there would be something to go up for you guys. I’ll have another post going up tomorrow or the following day all about how everything went with the move and then we’ll really have The Apartment Diaries series in full swing as I get things set up. I’m extremely excited about this.
So here is my week through reading, music, shows, and more…
STRANGER THINGS
Credit: Netflix
I finished the entire third season of Stranger Things, I have a few thoughts and instead of doing a long post I thought I would just do bullet style. So here are some of my opinions on the season:
- I love that we got more of a Max and El friendship instead of rivalry as we had in season two.
- Aesthetically this season was pleasing, the girl’s outfits were awesome! Especially El’s that Max helped her pick out.
- Steve went from being the mom of the group to being the dad, and I was living for it. He’s one of my favorite characters from the show.
- Without giving spoilers to the plot, I’m curious in the direction the next season is going to go with the reveal at the end. Plus how certain missing elements are going to be dealt with.
If you have seen the third season of Stranger Things, what did you think of it without giving spoilers away for those that haven’t seen it yet?
WHERE I’M AT WITH READING
I have finished reading The Mortal Instruments series for the fourth time. And can finally say I’m moving onto The Dark Artifices. Which I have had the books for almost a month now but have not dug into, mainly as I wasn’t sure about shifting over to new characters. I’ve heard good things about it so I’m going to give it a shot.
I don’t do book reviews, not really anyways, so if that’s something you would be interested in let me know. I didn’t really do one with The Mortal Instruments as I more did posts comparing the books to Freeform’s show Shadowhunters.
MUSIC THAT’S BEEN ON REPEAT
This week I’ve been returning to my emo or middle/high school roots with music. So that means a lot of Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Simple Plan, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and Panic at the Disco. As well as other songs along the same lines as I’ve been unpacking everything into the new place. Unlike the previous weeks of these, I don’t have a particular song to share.
GOT ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? OR WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN INTO LATELY?
Love ya,

I love Stranger Things but for some reason I’m stalling on watching Season 3. Ironically I’ve returned to my own emo phase in music, listening to the same artists as you. Isn’t it crazy how we always seem to go back to our old selves? Thanks for sharing!

I was hesitant about starting season 3 myself, but it’s a great season. Might even argue one of the best.
And totally know what you mean, it’s like visiting an old friend.

Steve had some great character development. This was a season where El wasn’t going to save the day all the time. I was routing for Hopper and Joyce.

Totally agree about Steve, Hopper and Joyce! Loved that they had someone other than El save the day.
