The Pop Culture Download #6: Orange is the New Black and The Dark Artifices

Hope everyone had an amazing week! I got internet a week ago but didn’t have anything to share so I took the week off of these. In that time, I got Amazon Fire TV so I can stream YouTube and Netflix on my television. I’m also finally almost done with unpacking, I have about four small boxes left that I need to figure out what to do with. There are still a few things here and there that I want to do, but it’s enough where starting this week I’ll start the real and in depth Apartment Diary posts that I’ve been wanting to make since I got the apartment I had wanted to move into for the last year. But today is not the day for that. Today I’m sharing everything that I’ve discovered or been obsessed with for the last week.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK

I finished watching the seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black, and like I did with Stranger Things I’m going to share a few thoughts I had while I was watching:

If you have seen the last season of Orange is the New Black, what did you think of it without giving spoilers away for those that haven’t seen it yet?

WHERE I’M AT WITH READING

I decided to re-read The Dark Artifices and there were so many things that I noticed the second time around, which made it so much more enjoyable. Starting next week I’ll be reading the prequel series The Infernal Devices, which I can’t wait to get into. Plus, it’ll be something different to read… I mean only kind of. Still the same universe, but I get it from the oldest generation of Will Herondale, James (Jem) Carstairs, and Tessa Gray. A few months ago if you asked me if I was going to read anything else, but The Moral Instruments, I would’ve said no. Now I’m completely invested. So bring it prequel series… granted I sort of know what happens in the end for one of the characters. But that’s the point, you know what happens. It’s just filling in the blanks that Jem becomes a Silent Brother, and that Church is his cat. I find it interesting that cat shows up the most throughout all of the series. I hope in the sequel to the prequel series, and the sequel series to the sequel series include Church or it just won’t be Shadowhunters.

GOT ANY RECOMMENDATIONS? OR WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN INTO LATELY?

Love ya,
