Last month I featured this product in my favorites and thought it was only right to do an actual review for this highlighter palette that is so nice. I first saw this product from Jkissa who compared it to the Anastasia Beverly Hill Glow Palette in Moonchild. And I wanted to start branching out from the Urban Decay Afterglow highlighters, but I didn’t want to spend $40. And I’ve had a lot of items that I have loved from NYX so that lead me to purchasing this from Ulta.

Review
Strobe of Genius comes in a black plastic compact with a clear top (no mirror) and contains seven highlighting shades. The top four shades are .07 oz. each and the bottom three larger shades are .14 oz. each. They range from off-white, champagne and pale lavender to rose gold, yellow gold and bronze. The thing I like most about this palette is the way these shades can be mixed and matched and layered together. My favorite combination is the lavender with the rose gold. I have yet to try the yellow shade in this palette because it’s a tad bit too dark for my skin tone, but it is still a gorgeous shade. The shades are shimmer without being glittery and still have all the intensity of a high-end highlighter without having that high end price tag.
Overall, I really love this palette and reach for it almost every day when I’m wearing makeup for the day. And yes it’s $19, but you get seven shades that are comparable to high end highlighters so it’s totally worth it.
