Reading Guide for the Ruby Dixon Universe

Ruby Dixon has a lot of books released and a good majority of them are connected. Now, I haven’t read a good majority of these (all the Risdaverse books) as they just didn’t interest me at the time. But some of those characters do make appearances in the rest of the universe. This universe is expanding with another spin-off series for the Ice Planet, Not-Hoth, and more books in the Corsairs series, so I’m sure it’s going to be more back and forth. But as of May 2023 here is how the books connect as far as the timeline goes.

This is extremely complicated due to how interconnected all the series are, so I’m going to include the flow chart that Ruby Dixon posted on her website and I’ll also try to write it out as well.

Flow Chart Verison

Not mentioned in the chart is Fireblood Dragons which technically takes place sometime around or before Mari’s Mistake. There isn’t a crossover character in that series, but it does take place in this universe. Earth was destroyed by the dragons, and what happens to the remaining humans is explored in that series. But since it’s a planet no one will visit anymore, they are completely separated from what happens from that point forward.

Also, it’s hard to tell from the flow chart as it needs way more arrows between the Corsairs and Icehome, but Corsairs: Mathiras happens directly before Flor’s Fiasco and after Daisy’s Decision. The clones that were dropped off on Not-Hoth during Flor’s Fiasco were rescued during Corsairs: Mathiras. The graphic hasn’t been updated since end of November 2022, so there are missing books, but the text version is up to date.

Before I get into the actual order, here is a quick guide on the font coding for this:

Hopefully, that’s not too hard to read. I tried to make each of them different, but there aren’t a lot of options to make them colorful and different. Basically, start on the left column then work to the bottom of the right one.
