Something I've been debating for a while is just doing random posts. Not just a let's talk about style of post which I'm loving by the way even though I haven't done that many, as those are more focused on a specific topic. But a post where I just share random photos from the week or so that don't necessarily fit into a post of their own. And sure I could always use them as random stock photos for when I write posts that literally any photo could be used for them, but I thought this would be a fun thing to do instead. Let me know if you like this format and I'll try to make some more in the future.
So for Christmas, my sister got me a gift card to Hobby Lobby and I had yet to use it. So last week I went out and got myself a few things using that gift card including a fake deer head with gold antlers and I put an antique white frame behind it. Though typically I hate the idea of a mounted animal head as that means you killed a living creature, I've been really into the idea of a ceramic head mounted on the wall. A little touch of the wild without harming any creatures. Plus the white and gold is stunning. I also got myself these gold and stone planters that are now home to my ceramic faux succulents that I made a while ago. And lately I got an end table that is a colorful painter tray on the top. I currently have the four books that are on my active reading list as well as a lamp and my Amazon Echo Dot.
I love taking photos of the dogs though to be honest I'm positive Pixie is sick of it at this point. Especially when the flash goes off on my camera. I know Kiki is for sure done with it as she has now associated camera flash being the same as lightning so she full on freaks out. Which has made blog photography interesting to say the least. But these are a few of my favorite photos from the last few days that I took of Pixie and Winnie. Including one where Bear jumped into my mom's lap when she was sitting in a chair after she learned she got a new job, and one of Pixie's mermaid princess chalk legs after I took her to get a bath. She needed one badly after the whole HGE thing. I had to wait a few days after bringing her home to do that as I wanted to make sure she was 100% before taking her in a car back to the same location she was just at when the whole HGE was going on. Plus I already know bath time is stressful for her so I didn't want to push it.
Hope you all are having or had a wonderful Sunday!
